CARDBOARD DERBY RACE
Derby Hill
Cardboard boxes have long been the stuff of forts
& science projects, moving days & make-believe
spaceships. This February, the cardboard box
assumes its best role yet – high speed, high occupancy
racing vehicle. Just add duct tape, paint & a creative
touch and that refrigerator box may just be a ticket to
glory in the first ever Cardboard Box Race. Rules:
everyone wears a helmet and racing vessels must be
made of cardboard only. Gather your family & friends
and start building that special vehicle. Awards will be
presented for Most In A Box, Most Creative, Fastest
& Most Spirit! Early Registrations are being accepted
until February 6th at the Houlton Rec Center. For rules &
other info, contact the Houlton Rec Dept. at 532-1310.
