“...As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” Joshua 24:15
From my desk …...
As we ring in a New Year with hats and horns and make those famous
resolutions, to diet, be on time and to look up old friends.
Then life happens and we notice the scale increased over the holidays. It
must be broken; because it couldn’t have been the second helping of pie;
oh no, not the pie.
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas and were able to spend it with
family and friends. That you received the items on your “wish list”.
My prayer for you and yours is that 2016 will be a promising and
prosperous year. May God Bless You and keep you healthy and safe.
May you capture the time and have that cup of tea. To call that army
buddy, schoolmate or old friend just to talk.
2016 the year for new friends. People you have sat behind in church or
at a school play but never said hello. This is the year of new friendships.
Ones that are built for a lifetime.
I look forward to another year in Stromsburg.
May God Bless you all.
Take Care, and I will talk with you soon!

Greetings from The Plaza
It is hard to believe that the holiday seasons are here and gone. Hope everyone
had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and were able to enjoy family and
remember the reason we celebrate this wonderful season.
We are excited to have had four new residents join our Plaza family this month.
This month we have had a full calendar of events to attend. We had a wonderful
time with our residents and family at the holiday party on December 1, 2015. We
also enjoyed the wonderful Candle light service on December 16, 2015 which is
always one of the favorites. We also took a tour of the Christmas lights to enjoy
all of the beautiful colors of the season. Residents have also been busy with
crafts. Several of them did make a deco mesh wreath and are hanging on their
door.
We have been keeping busy this month we have been doing some holiday baking
for everyone to enjoy.
Please come and visit us when you can. If there is anything you need please call
or e-mail me at [email protected]

Park Villa News
December was a busy month for outings with the Park Villa residents. We had the chance to go
to the Live Nativity at Timberlake. LaVerne Stevens, Dorothy Simpson and Berniece Cash
enjoyed the evening with a trip to Dairy Queen and then to see the Nativity.
Quite a few of us got our fill of soup and cheesecake on a cold Friday night which was followed
by a trip to see the Christmas lights around town and neighboring communities.
Mission Statement
At Midwest Covenant Home residents are provided with a Christian living environment where they are able to live with dignity
while receiving quality care.
