Opening of Classes
The enrollment in Talisay
Elementary School started last
April, 2013 and resulted to an
increase of the number of
pupils. New faces were seen
and new talents will be soon
discovered. The total number
of
enrollees
at
Talisay
Elementary School for this
school year 2013-2014 is 1,063
pupils.
The pupils and their
parents believed that the
school vision and mission for
education has a very strong
foundation and that this
institution
will
mold
development. Parents also
believed that their children’s
talents/ skills will be improved
inside the institution.
The said institution
offered a better teaching
method
through
newly
organized classrooms and the
use of new technology. This
only proves that Talisay
Elementary School has gained
so much trust because of their
quality education. This will
continue to be the best among

Sana matuto tayong magtiyaga at

Save Our Mother Nature
by: Althea Mae Valencia
Our mother nature is
now in danger because of
some illegal activities of
people. They cut the old and
new growing trees without
replacing it from the high
mountains, vehicles produce
too much pollution in air,
some people throw batteries
and chemicals that cause too
much pollution to soil. Some
people wash their clothes in
the river that use chlorine and
can be poisonous to us and to
marine animals. There are
fishermen that use dynamite
fishing that destruct our coral
reefs.
The coral reefs serve as
the shelter for the marine
animals, they protect them
from their enemies and they
are also tourist attraction.
They also block the big waves,
because of that there were no
tsunamis happening here in the
Philippines as like as what
happened in the other country.
There were so many
people that do some activities
that
can
affect
our
environment. But I have only
one message for those people
who break our mother nature,
“Please stop your activities for
the futures of the next

Philippine is one of the countries which is

As they look at the angle of the tourism in

Wikang Filipino
Ating Tangkilikin
ni: Althea Mae Valencia
Ang wikang Filipino ang ating pambansang
wika.
Tunay
ngang magaling ang naisip nitong si Quezon.
Dahil dito, naiiwasan ang hindi pagkakaunawaan.
Ang taga-Maynila ay hindi nakaiintindi ng
salitang Bicol at ang taga-Bicol ay hindi
nakauunawa ng salitang Tagalog. May dalawang
wikang Filipino.
Ang wikang Filipino ang ginagamit sa
pagtuturo ng mga guro. Ito ay upang mas madaling
maunawaan ng mga mag-aaral ang kanilang pinagaaralan. Bakit? Dahil mas nauunawaan natin ang
wikang Filipino kaysa Ingles.
magkakaunawaan at mas magkakaisa.

Salute…..Salute…..Salute to the
Teacher Heroes
by: Althea Mae Valencia
Do you know that teachers are also
heroes? Why do you call them a hero?
Teachers are hero because of their
sacrifices. What sacrifices? We usually
know that they are just doing their job, to
teach us. More than that, they sacrifice
their time for their family just to do their
lesson plans for us, they become our
second parent in school, they discipline
us, they help us when we have family
problems, and most especially they love
us like their true children. Those are the
sacrifices of a teacher.
That is a teacher. All of the teachers
give all their knowledge to us. Yes, they
get tired but when they see a pupil who is
eager to study, the knowledge and
sacrifices they give is so worth it. But when
they see a pupil whose interest is not in
education and just wanted to play, deep
inside they get hurt because they want all
of their pupils to have a better future. They
want all of us to be successful.
Do you pay back their sacrifices?
How? One of the ways to pay back our
teachers is by simply giving them a thank
you card even if it’s not Teachers’ Day.
Give them a rose and say “Ma’am thank
you for teaching us and for your
sacrifices.” Always greeting them is also a
way of paying back for the teachers.
After all, whatever way you pay
back your teacher, the best thing to do is
to……….

Open our Eyes Look at Our Health
by: Antoinette Monte
Our health is an important thing that we should be taking care of. Our body is open to any disease, to
prevent us from getting those illnesses we must learn to take care of our body. Our health will be another key
that will give us success in life. Nowadays, we are experiencing climate change that really affects our health.
During rainy days we get colds, flu and fever that really make us weak and unhappy other disease such as
dengue which is highly active during rainy days. But dengue is not the only threat in our life, during rainy
days many thing happen such as flood that may brought us another health threat which is the liptospirosis
that is acquired when dirty water cause by flood have the urine of rats then an individual walk in that dirty
water, the bacteria will surely enter our body that will make us really weak inside. Dengue and liptospirosis
are deadly diseases that made many people suffer. We cannot really stop those diseases to come near us, but
we can do many ways to keep our health as good as it should be.
There are ways to keep us healthy, like having daily exercise, eating nutritious foods, drinking safe water
and having a balanced diet. It may be difficult to follow those ways at the same time, but we should learn to do it
with interest and discipline. Without interest and discipline, an individual may do those ways to become healthy
but may do it with excess, force and do it without correct measures. So, we should always remember that to stay
healthy means being disciplined and happy.

Nagwalang kibo ka at nang kausapin ko

Puso ko rin itong siyang nagdurugo
Bata ka pa anak, di mo natatanto
Pagpalo sa mahal ay ‘di gawang biro
Halika anak sa aking kandungan

Mga magulang ko’y naabala arawaraw
Subalit pag-unawa nila ay umaapaw
Mga magulang ko’y tunay ngang

Kaya pagmamahal ko sa kanila’y

Ako’y isang sisiw
Sa aking ina ay nawalay
Walang kumukupkop at
nangangatog pa sa ginaw
At kung umaga na walang inang
sukat umakay
Hindi kumakain pagkat walang
nagmamahal
Nasaan ka inang, bakit ako’y iyong
natitiis
Na siklot-siklotin ng hirap at sakit
Ngunit sa ngayon, ni wala pang
kahit isang bagwis
magdaraing
Ang kawawang lagay ng isang
basing sisiw

To our dearest teachers,
First of all, I would like
to greet all of you a happy
teacher’s
day
and
a
pleasant day. As one of the
pupils who admire you, I
would like you to know that
I am very thankful for
having you as my teacher.
Thank you for teaching us
everything that we need to
know as pupils. You gave us
your time and knowledge
whole heartedly. You never
hesitate to show us your
true nature and gave us
helpful advice when needed.
I also thank you for your
full
support
that
you
showed and gave me. For
me, you are the best and a
teacher like you should be
given an award as a gift.
You are my second mother
who molds me to become a
productive
and
helpful
pupil.
Every time you smile
I feel so blessed. I hope that
you
will
receive
more
blessings, good health and
stay as you are. As a pupil,
I also want to say sorry for
being noisy and naughty
sometimes. But even though
sometimes we make you feel
sad and angry that makes
you get sick. I will be
forever thankful for your
patience
and
understanding. Today is
your big day. This is the
time for you to relax.
Again, Happy Teacher’s
Day and God bless you
always!
Your loving pupil,
Antoinette
