This autumn our spotlight falls on the
beautiful Iscoyd Park, the new second
home to your Secret Spa and the perfect
secret escape for peace and tranquility.
WE ARE delighted to welcome
our Spa clientele to Iscoyd Park
and to share with you this much
loved family home, its beautiful
park, glorious gardens and rich
history.
Located on the borders of North
Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire,
Iscoyd Park is run as a top-quality
country wedding venue as well
as a home. The house has always
been known for its warmth and
hospitality and this is a tradition
that continues!
A wedding venue for all seasons,
the summer sees the house flooded with natural light, the gardens
bloom and the parkland flourishes
while in the winter months the
open log fires, candles and luxurious decor at Iscoyd provides the
cosiest and most welcoming of
settings.
The Secret Spa is the latest addition to Iscoyd Park, with our
treatment rooms located in a

restored outbuilding, providing the
perfect tranquil, sensual space for
treatments and massages.

I suffer from chronic back pain, the doctor has put it down to wear and tear,
will a massage help?
It has been said that as Holistic Specialists
we have magic hands! We have many
male & female clients who come to us
with the same problem, they have found
that a regular half hour massage seems to keep the
pain at bay. A deep tissue massage will certainly help to
unlock the stress in the back by warming the muscles.

I am currently in the middle of a cycle of fertility
treatment and have heard that a course of reflexology can help?
There is no medical proof that it will help you conceive
but we have certainly heard the pitter-patter of tiny feet
when a few clients have had a course in the past. During
stressful times reflexology treatments are well known to
relax and rest the mind as well as the body.

I have noticed that on either side
of my lip there is a small amount
of dark hair. I have heard by having it waxed it will make it come
back darker and with more hair,
is this correct?

This is a myth! I have been waxing
for over 15 years and because wax works by pulling
the root out it eventually will weaken the follicle and
it will in fact reduce the area of hair. The treatment
costs just £6 and needs to be repeated every 4
weeks and then eventually up to every 6 weeks.
My husbands eyebrows remind me of Dennis
Healey! Is there anything you can do for him?
Believe it or not we nurture many male brows. Yes
we can wax but to maintain the natural look we
recommend tweezing and trimming the brow with a
small amount of wax used for in-between the brows.

The Darphin Renewing Balm was recommended by a
work colleague. I had been using a cream at night, and
this is a very different consistency that I am not used to
but heck it goes a long way and lasts!
My skin changed within two weeks of using it. I applied
it in the evening following a bath, three times a week.
The packaging, smell and product is divine and all in all
it deserves 5/5, my only criticism was that it took me
a while to get used to the difference between a balm
and a cream - I was afraid it would cause a breakout
but am pleased to say there’s not a spot in sight!
