October 2014 - Little Colliers Neighbourhood Nursery
Little Colliers Nursery
Newsletter October 2014
Information Update.
It’s been a very busy month settling all the new
children in but many are now really enjoying their
time in nursery and have settled well.
There is a few reminders and notifications this
month for parents. First being about the front entrance. There is a new sign on the door reminding
parents about not letting other parents in as it is so
important that we know at all times who is on nursery property. Also if someone else is collecting your
child and a password has been given then we are
now asking for the password to be given at the
front door and the child’s room if a member of
staff from that room has not answered the door to
you. This is to double up on security and to keep the
children safe at all times. Saturday morning club
for October has been changed to the 18th. Everybody welcome, activities will be around the story
’Room On The Broom’.
All the rooms have been really busy settling new
children and doing lots of exciting activities. In
Teddy Room there has been lots of new children
starting in there and the children have been getting
used to their new room, new friends and carers.
The children have also been doing leaf printing for
autumn and potato printing. In Rainbow Room the
children have been doing ‘All about me’. They have
looked at each others family photo’s and painted
pictures of themselves. They are now starting a
topic on autumn and have been on autumn walks
collecting leaves. In Caterpillar Room the children
have listened to the story the Hungry Caterpillar
and have been doing lots of activities around this
story such as making butterflies by printing with
paint and food tasting all the different things the
Caterpillar ate during the story. In Butterfly Room
the children have also been doing about Autumn and
have been apple printing, leaf marking and welly
printing. The children have also been doing some
weaving.
