Lots of use of language and rhymes, as well as role play in our wonderful castle. We shall also be celebrating Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day with lots of cooking activities and arts and crafts, including ‘Lucky Money’ (chocolate money in red envelopes) and beautiful hand made cards to say ‘I love You’! Just one birthday this month – our very best wishes go to Keona on the 17th News Updates: Just for your information Faye, our manager who had previously been on maternity leave will not be returning to StepStones. She has decided to spend some time with her three boys at home and we wish her well, as a full time mum! On that note, there have obviously been a couple of promotions – Catherine is now our Nursery Manager and Helen is Deputy Manager. I know both Catherine and Helen will do a fantastic job and I hope you will join me in wishing them well and congratulating them on their new positions. Some of you have also been enquiring about Androulla and unfortunately she has been given another two weeks off by the doctor. Her foot is not healing very well and she has been advised to stay home for a while longer. If Androulla is your child’s key worker, please see Catherine, who is maintaining their development records and filling in for Androulla in her absence. At last we have the privilege of using the “Outstanding” Logo, which we were awarded in September 2010. We thank you all for helping us to be the best that we can be and providing us with the enthusiasm and motivation to care for such lovely children. Dolor Sit Amet 2
