From the Heart
Wednesday 13th February, from 8pm
This week sees ITV leading a social responsibility
campaign with the aim of building awareness of the need
for more donors on the Organ Donation Register. Various
programmes during the week will encourage viewers to
join the register, to share their wishes with loved ones,
and to raise awareness with others of the importance of
the cause. The main programmes showing on
Wednesday are headed up by a one-hour entertainment
special at 9pm presented by Dermot O’Leary, featuring
musical and comedy items from famous faces including
Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie, Pixie Lott, Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra,
McFly, Alexandra Burke, Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse, together with celebrity campaign
endorsements, case studies and interviews. There is also a special edition of Tonight at 8pm
updating the story of Will Pope’s heart transplant and looking more widely at attitudes to organ
donation in Britain and the impact the current donor shortage is having. There are also updates
during Daybreak and This Morning, as well as reports during network news programmes from ITV
News Science Editor Lawrence McGinty at Papworth Hospital, the UK’s largest heart and lung
transplant centre. Lawrence and his team will be looking at all aspects of the work that Papworth
does – including life on the waiting list, transplant success stories and interviews with the family of a
donor. They also aim to be on call with a donor team if an organ becomes available, and hopefully
will follow a patient who gets the news they have been waiting for – to prepare for an operation.
Dancing on Ice
Sunday 10th February, 6.15pm and 8.30pm
Phillip Schofield and Christine
Bleakley present the sixth
round of live shows in the
eighth series of the celebrity ice
dancing competition. This
year’s competitors are actress
Pamela Anderson, singer
Shayne Ward, presenters
Anthea Turner and Keith
Chegwin, Olympians Beth
Tweddle and Luke Campbell,
former EastEnder Matt
Lapinskas, Corrie actor Samia
Ghadie, former The Only Way
Is Essex star Lauren Goodger,
politician Oona King, comedian
Joe Pasquale, and former
rugby player Gareth Thomas.
Working under the watchful
eyes of figure skating legends
Jayne Torvill and Christopher
Dean, the contestants will be
hoping to wow audiences with
an awe-inspiring advancement
from novice to semiprofessional level,
demonstrating their progress
week after week with dazzling
displays of new-found skating
prowess. There will be
disappointment for some, as
Pamela, Lauren, Oona and
Anthea have already
ITV.com
discovered, having crashed out
of the competition in the first
three shows. As the
competition marches towards
the final, the skate-offs become
tenser and more nerve-racking,
as witnessed when Oona’s
professional partner Mark
Hanretty took a nasty tumble as
they prepared for their make-orbreak performance recently.
Judge Jason Gardiner even
described it as the most
dramatic skate-off ever. Jason’s
return to the judging panel has
seen him become blunter and
more opinionated than ever
before. Joining him are Robin
Cousins and Karen Barber,
together with a new addition to
the panel, former Pussycat Doll
Ashley Roberts.

Take Me Out
Saturday 9th February, 8.05pm
Paddy McGuinness once again plays Cupid, pulling
out all the stops to wow the ladies in the latest
instalment of the dating show's fifth series, but will
he be able to land them their dream guy from this
week’s quartet of eligible bachelors? A group of 30
single, sassy and often kooky ladies are waiting
patiently, hoping to be impressed by whoever
descends in the famous love lift. The gents each
offer the girls an insight into their lives, quirks,
passions and skills, all in the hope of winning a
dream date on the sun-soaked Isle of Fernandos.
Will this bunch of potential suitors be as picky as
some of those in previous series? Each of Paddy’s girls controls a light, which they can switch off if
they don’t like what they see. None of the boys wish to join the blackout boys club, membership of
which is offered to anyone unfortunate enough to fail to keep at least one lady interested until the
end of their pitch. Tonight’s brave bachelors are line dancing instructor Chris from Cheshire,
professional footballer Ashley from Nuneaton, Essex student James, and motorsports events
manager David from Kent. As always, a hopeful Paddy also takes a look at how last week’s couples
got on during their action-packed dates.
Wild Britain with Ray Mears
Friday 15th February, 8pm
Ray Mears continues the series
in which he celebrates the
British countryside and its
wildlife, exploring forests,
rivers, islands and the
coastline, and revealing the
secrets of each habitat’s flora
and fauna.
In each location, Ray meets up
with local experts –
conservationists and amateur
enthusiasts – who share a
passion for the wildlife around
them. He demonstrates his
knowledge of field crafts,
tracking and other techniques
for spotting wildlife. He also
examines the underlying
geology which has given each
landscape its unique character.
In this week’s episode, Ray is
on the Isle of Wight, travelling
along the island’s southern
coast. He visits a shipwreck
which has become a natural
habitat for marine species
such as the conger eel and the
spiny spider crab. With the
help of local angler Alan
ITV.com
Deeming he goes in search of
smooth hound sharks. Back on
dry land, Ray takes a walk back
in time to the era of the
dinosaurs with palaeontologist
Stephen Hutt, finding out how
the preserved footprints of an
iguanodon reveal the way in
which the creature walked. He
is introduced to the rare
Glanville Fritillary, a species of
butterfly that is only found on
the Isle of Wight’s southern
coast, and observes a colony of
ravens now successfully
breeding here. Ray concludes
his tour by exploring rock pools
with Jolyon Chesworth of the
Hampshire & Isle of Wight
Wildlife Trust, uncovering a
wealth of species lurking at low
tide.

Great Night Out
Friday 15th February, 9pm
The comedy drama series following four thirtysomething men who bicker and bond their way
through a weekly night roistering on the tiles in
Stockport continues. Filmed on location in London
and Stockport, the series was created by The
Worst Week of My Life duo Mark Bussell and
Justin Sbresni, and stars Will Ash (Waterloo Road,
Lapland), Stephen Walters (Mean Machine, The
51st State), Craig Parkinson (Misfits, Brighton
Rock) and Lee Boardman (Rome, Death In
Paradise) as the trouble-prone quartet, along with
Rebekah Staton, Ricky Tomlinson, Naomi Bentley,
Susie Blake, Isy Suttie and Christine Bottomley. The series charts the lads’ attempts to come to
terms with all the rubbish that life has thrown at them – just as long as that does not involve them
having to move too far away from their local, the football or the nearby greasy spoon to do so.
In the final episode of the series, the lads’ plans to attend what promises to be the biggest football
game in history are scuppered by Glyn (Parkinson), who now has to pull out all the stops and find a
way of making amends. Hodge (Boardman) and Kath (Staton) have a trial course in parenting and
soon discover that it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. Daz (Walters) wants to spring a surprise on
Colleen (Bentley) and enlists the help of her ditzy housemate Bev (Suttie).
The Jonathan Ross Show
Saturday 9th February, 9.20pm
Jonathan Ross introduces more Saturday night
chat with some of the biggest names from the
world of entertainment and sport accompanied
by some of the very best music around. The
inimitable Jonathan has already attracted some
top A-list guests to entertain viewers on these
cold winter Saturday nights, including Mr
Selfridge star Jeremy Piven, the very versatile
Jamie Foxx, Girl’s Aloud’s Kimberly Walsh, actor
David Tennant, comedians Mick Flanagan,
Adam Hills and Sarah Millican, and some great
live music from the likes of Madness, Paloma
Faith, Alicia Keys, Jools Holland and Biffy Clyro.
Last week, the guests were another intriguing
mix including Eddie Izzard, Russell Brand, Sir
David Attenborough, Dolph Lundgren and Pulp.
This week’s guests include two stars from the
world of movies. One of Britain’s finest young
actresses, Hayley Atwell’s film credits include
Brideshead Revisited and Captain America: The
First Avenger, in which she played Agent Peggy
Carter. She was nominated for a Best Actress
Golden Globe Award for her performance as
Aliena in The Pillars of the Earth. John C Reilly,
who has established a reputation as a singer
and comedian as well as a fine and versatile
actor, will be talking about his latest role, voicing
the title role in the animated comedy Wreck-It
Ralph. Music comes from synth-pop duo Hurts,
whose new album Exile is about to be released.

All Star Family Fortunes
Sunday 10th February, 7.45pm
Vernon Kay presents the sixth episode in this
brand new series of the popular game show in
which two celebrity-led teams battle it out to win
up to £30,000 for their chosen charity. This week
TV gardener Diarmuid Gavin and his clan go up
against Hollyoaks beauty Gemma Merna and her
family. The two famous faces and their families
hope to win big money for their favourite good
causes by answering a series of seemingly easy
questions, based on a survey of 100 members of
the British public. Anyone familiar with the format
will understand that this is not as easy as it
sounds, and know how rare it is for one team to come up with a full list of answers. The opposing
team will be ready to pounce with a make-or-break answer of their own, hoping to steal the cash
prize for that round. Vernon is never shy in his responses when contestants suggest bizarre,
ridiculous or hilarious answers, and will be sure to dig out some embarrassing photographs, footage
or information on at least one of the contestants before the show is over. The winning team has the
opportunity to play for £10,000, but the big challenge is trying to bag the full £30,000 in the final Big
Money round. With limited time and some tricky questions, will they be able to second-guess the
British public and secure the full amount?
Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang *
Saturday 9th February, 6pm
Emma Thompson reprises her role as the
children’s nurse with magical powers, as well as
again writing the script for the film, in this
network premiere of the follow-up to the hugely
popular 2005 family comedy. This time around,
she is called on to help Isabel Green (Maggie
Gyllenhaal) look after her three children and the
family farm while her husband (Ewan McGregor)
is at war. Norman (Asa Butterfield), Megsie (Lil
Woods) and Vincent (Oscar Steer) are a
boisterous trio but when their spoiled cousins
Cyril and Celia Gray (Eros Vlahos and Rosie
Taylor-Ritson) are sent to live with them,
hostilities break out – until Nanny McPhee
appears on the doorstep one stormy night.
Eventually she gets the two sets of kids to
tolerate each other, and they even start sharing
things. When Isabel’s shady brother-in-law Phil
(Rhys Ifans) turns up having gambled away his
half of the farm, the situation looks grim, but the
children manage to foil his dastardly schemes –
with a bit of help from Nanny McPhee. A fresh
crisis erupts, however, when the pilot of an
enemy plane sneezes as he flies overhead and
drops a huge bomb in the barley field.
Miraculously it fails to explode, but all the
McPhee magical powers are going to be needed
to dismantle the bomb and save the farm.

Lewis
Monday 11th February, 9pm
The seventh series of the hit police drama comes to an
end with part two of Intelligent Design. Former Oxford
don Richard Seager, having served a prison sentence for
causing death by dangerous driving, has been murdered
on the night of his release, crushed to death by a Jaguar
Mark 2. Seager’s last act was to scratch the number '500'
into the car's paintwork. His wife Martha (Alison
Steadman) insists that Rachel Cliff (Crystal Leaity), the
sister of Seager's victim, is the killer, but investigations at
the college reveal that Seager not only had major
disagreements with the provost (Edward Fox) but also
was preparing to divorce Martha. Then another body together with a suitcase is discovered in the
college chapel's attic. The luggage label reads 'Soo-Min Chong'. Seager wasn't scratching the
number '500' after all... Lewis (Kevin Whately), Hathaway (Laurence Fox) and Hobson (Clare
Holman) poke around the new crime scene, watched anxiously by Martha, teacher Carl Drew
(Ariyon Bakare), biochemist Stella Drew (Miranda Raison), student Adam Tibbit (Josh Bolt) and his
girlfriend Rachel. The body is that of Soo-Min Chong, a Korean student who disappeared 15 years
earlier. Seager was the last person to see Soo-Min alive, Carl Drew was her boyfriend, and she was
Martha’s organ scholar at the chapel. But after two more deaths, can Lewis and Hathaway close in
on the killer who is becoming more and more desperate to cover their tracks?
Animal Practice *
Monday 11th February, 8.30pm
ITV2 presents another brand
new and exclusive US comedy,
this time focusing on the quirky
and unorthodox Dr George
Coleman (Justin Kirk), a top
veterinarian at the bustling
Crane Animal Hospital in New
York City. With some famous
animal patients on his books, it
is clear that the talented vet
has an amazing way with
animals of all kinds – except, it
seems, the human kind. In the
first episode, George’s exgirlfriend Dorothy (JoAnna
Garcia Swisher) appears at the
hospital with some surprising
news. She has inherited the
ITV.com
family business from her
recently deceased grandmother
Eleanor Crane, and is now his
boss. Although they broke up
two years ago, It seems that
there remains unfinished
business between the two
former lovers as the reason for
their split becomes apparent.
Along with his team, which
includes Dr Doug Jackson
(Tyler Labine), Dr Yamamoto
(Bobby Lee), and a capuchin
monkey named Dr Rizzo,
George faces a daily battle as
the smart and ambitious
Dorothy attempts to shake
things up and restore some
order to his chaotic but animalfriendly administration.

The Big Reunion
Thursday 14th February, 9pm
The exciting ITV2 series
continues, as six acts from one
of the golden ages of British
and Irish pop music are given
another chance to shine. The
groups – Atomic Kitten
(Natasha Hamilton, Liz
McClarnon, Kerry Katona), 5ive
(Ritchie Neville, Scott
Robinson, Richard ‘Abz Love’
Breen, Sean Conlon),
B*Witched (Edele Lynch, Keavy
Lynch, Sinead O’Carroll,
Lindsay Armaou), Liberty X
(Jessica Taylor, Michelle
Heaton, Kevin Simm, Kelli
Young, Tony Lundon), 911 (Lee
Brennan, Simon ‘Spike’
Dawbarn, Jimmy Constable)
and Honeyz (Celena Cherry,
Mariama Goodman, Heavenli
Roberts) – will all be
reunited for a one-off
performance at
London’s
Hammersmith Apollo.
With only two weeks
of intense rehearsals
before their big
comeback, it is likely
to be a rewarding yet
challenging
experience for many of the
former stars, so expect tears of
both joy and sadness as they
work their way towards the big
night. The show also takes a
look at what happened when
the groups disbanded, and how
some members remained in the
celebrity spotlight while others
pursued a diverse range of

careers. In the third show, the
focus turns to girl groups
Honeyz and B*Witched
(pictured), who both had a
string of top ten hits in the late
1990s and early 2000s. As the
girls are catapulted back into
the limelight, will old rivalries,
emotions, breakdowns and
disagreements resurface?
Juliet Stevenson, Greg Wise, Lee Ingleby and Philip Jackson star in this three-part adaptation of Val
McDermid's best-selling novel. Journalist Catherine Heathcote (Stevenson) is dismayed when
former DI George Bennett (Jackson) suddenly withdraws his cooperation from the documentary she
is making about the disappearance of schoolgirl Alison Carter from the remote village of Scardale in
1963. Determined to find out why, Catherine travels to Scardale, where she makes some shocking
discoveries while encountering hostility from the tight-knit local community. In 1963, Alison’s stepfather Philip Hawkin (Wise) is arrested by lead officer George Bennett (Ingleby) after bloody
incriminating evidence and unsavoury photographs detailing his relationship with his step-daughter
come to light. In the present day, as Catherine tries
desperately to salvage her documentary about the case,
she begins to suspect that Bennett may have manipulated
the evidence against Hawkin. Hawkin is convicted of the
rape and murder of his step-daughter and goes to the
gallows, claiming to be a victim of other people's lies.
Catherine is still convinced that Bennett would not fabricate
evidence, but she is fired and her boss (Danny Sapani)
vows to use her film to expose the famous detective.
Catherine returns to Scardale once more, but what she
uncovers not only turns the case upside-down but also
rocks the very foundations of her own life.

River Monsters
Wednesday 13th February, 9pm
Jeremy Wade presents a special
episode of the hugely popular extreme
fishing series. The intrepid Wade
regularly displays nerves of steel,
risking life and limb to capture killer
fish on camera. In this episode, Killer
Weapons, he focuses on the different
methods these river monsters use to
attack their prey, and the way their
bodies have developed into
underwater killing machines. Sharp
teeth are just one part of their armoury
– some of these fish have protruding
spines that can release toxic barbs,
others can administer a kind of electric shock that stuns their victims, and some species even have
serrated club-like features. As we have learned from previous programmes, it is not just other fish
that are at risk – there are many examples of human casualties too. Jeremy relives some of his
closest encounters and reveals which of one of these killer fish continues to haunt him.

her, leaving Sean feeling used.
Coronation Street
Fiz and Tyrone’s situation becomes ever more desperate. On the run in Wales, they rely on a
hesitant Chesney for financial help. As Kirsty makes a public appeal for baby Ruby, Chesney warns
Fiz that the police are on their trail. After the inevitable happens, an incarcerated and utterly
defeated Tyrone breaks Fiz’s heart with a major decision about
their relationship. Faye continues to defy Anna, sneaking off to see
her dad Tim yet again. Owen’s temper gets the better of him when
a row with Anna escalates, leaving their relationship’s future in
doubt. When a social worker expresses concern over Faye’s
adoption, a distraught Anna caves in and invites Tim for a meal,
but she is unprepared for his shock announcement. Sylvia’s
secretive behaviour continues to worry Roy, especially after he
discovers that she has developed a gambling problem. After he
confronts her, Sylvia suggests that Roy use his mathematical brain to help her beat the odds at the
casino. He surprisingly agrees, but their initial luck may be short-lived if their card-counting strategy
is discovered. When their boiler breaks, Gail relishes the opportunity to annoy David and Kylie as
they struggle with their new financial responsibility as homeowners. Mandy continues to disapprove
of Sophie and Jenna’s relationship. With Jenna jobless and struggling to make ends meet, Lloyd
offers her his spare room, leaving Mandy furious that she will be living so close to Sophie. Beth and
Kirk excitedly move into their own place.
