In 1964, Marvin Priefert invented his first headgate. Little did he
know, this first piece of ranch equipment would later become
the foundation for one of the largest farm, ranch, and rodeo
equipment manufacturers in the world. Driven by the desire to
“find a better way,” Marvin and his family have continued to
innovate and invent, successfully growing a company focused
on meeting the needs of the American farmer and rancher.
Today, the Priefert name has earned a strong reputation in the
industry for integrity, quality, and reliability.
Over the last 50 years, Priefert has led the way with revolutionary
designs that have helped keep the Priefert name at the forefront
of the industry. Not only was Priefert the first in the industry to
offer a fully front-opening headgate, but we were also the first
to introduce curved sides on a squeeze chute to better fit the
shape of cattle. Other firsts include: the introduction of chain
connection panels in 1984, the first open-sided cattle sweep
system and the first double pivot calf table in 1988, the creation
of the infinite locking system in 1991, and the first complete
line of powder-coated products in 1995. Priefert’s Model 91
Headgate and S04 Squeeze Chute are still recognized as the
best in the industry, with more features than any other chute
on the market. Priefert’s rodeo equipment is also an industry
favorite and has the been the equipment of choice for the PBR
since 2005 and for the PRCA and National Finals Rodeo since
2006.
Today, Priefert is in its third generation of family leadership.

Premier Open Sweep systems
This rugged, completely reversible crowding system can be used as a
portable or permanent working corral. Either way, it provides a durable
and affordable crowding system that requires less labor for working cattle.
Priefert’s innovative, user-friendly panel design allows you to build a
complete system or add what you need to an existing corral. Our chain
connection panels assemble easily and fit tighter than any pin connection
panels. The heavy gauge tubular steel construction allows these sweeps
to be portable and our Architectural Grade powder coat gives our panels
a durable finish. Available in 90° and 180° sweeps, these systems and
corrals are versatile enough for herds of any size.

Priefert’s Rough Stock Open Sweeps improve the flow of cattle by pivoting our
sweeping bow gate at the alley. Eliminating the corner found with the standard
design of 180 degree sweeps, a 135˚ sweep is simply a practical design that
provides benefits that reduce stress on livestock and operators alike. The cost
savings and reduction of labor in assembly further increases the attractiveness
of this design. A full array of optional components offer cattle owners the
opportunity to fit this system into existing corrals or build a complete set of
pens using either our 6’ Tall Premier Panels, Rough Stock Arena Panels, or the
Rough Stock Panel itself.

Built with Roughstock Open sweep
components, this reversible sweep
will allow you to push cattle through
the tub to maintain efficiency within
limited space.
Expanding on the Inline 90, this
sweep tub allows for more cattle
to be loaded and ready to sweep
down the alley. This system is
also made with Roughstock
Open components and is fully
reversible.

Priefert’s Solid Sweep System has several unique, practical features not found in most other solid sweeps.
Pivoting our sweeping bow gate at the alley improved the flow of cattle by eliminating the corner
found with the standard 180 degree sweeps. By eliminating catwalks, we improved safety and
provided another cost saving benefit for operators. Spring loaded, double piston latches in the
sweep increase user safety. An optional second bow gate offers the opportunity for loading
directly from the sweep. All alley and sweep panels are designed to provide easy access for
“pour-on” application of insecticides. More for your money with increased safety and multitudes

THE LIMBSAW is a tree trimming attachment that
mounts directly to the front end loader of your tractor,
skid loader, or backhoe. This commercial-grade
chainsaw attaches easily to a receiver on the back of
your front end loader or bucket, and connects to your
tractor’s auxiliary hydraulics. The unit comes with an
eight foot mast that can reach limbs 18 to 20 feet
when attached to an average loader. The LIMBSAW
attachment folds into a convenient transport position,
and at only 84 lbs, makes it easy to remove and store
in your shop or garage.

