- Equipment is integrated in to two FMBS. One is class A with
360 deg. of view bridge and second bridge is with 120 deg. and
rear view and both are equipped with DNV certified Nautis ship simulators.

RADAR/ARPA TRAINING
1. EQUIPMENT
- Real Kelvin Hughes Chart Radars certified by UK Lloyds and MCA.
Simulation center is equiped also with 6 Nautis radars.
- Equipment is integrated in to two FMBS. One is class A with
360 deg of view bridge and second bridge is with 120 deg and
rear view and both are equiped with DNV certified Nautis ship
simulators. Nautis radars are integrated in to 6 class C stations.
2. TRAINING
- Training is provided as per latest IMO modal course 1.07
- Radar and ARPA faults simulator
- GPS and Radar data transfer
- Navigation in heavy traffic in narrow ports and channels
using ETD (Enhanced Target Detection) and PIP radar.
- Kelvin Hughes type specific training.

1. EQUIPMENT:
ADS TUG MASTER TRAINING
- 360 deg Nautis FMBS equiped with controls for
ADS, tractor, conventional and kort nozzel vessels.
- Simulation centre is equiped with 2 HMD (Head Mounted Displays)
with delivered 360 deg in horizontal field and 180 deg in vertical
directions using hi tech orientation system.
- There is fully realistic azimuth console which could be used either in
to the 360 FMBS or with one of the HMD.
- TU Varna Maritime Qualification Center is engaged with Bulgarian
Tug Master Association and other Tug companies and can hire various
types of Tugs in case of specific training requirements.
Trainee has unique opportunity to see vectors of the thrust of the own tug
for better understanding of tug behavior.

SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND PROJECT DESIGNING AND ANALYSIS
1. Designing of Fairways and new canals. Research of future ship behavior in it.
Training of Pilots and tug masters for sailing in to them till the projects are still ot drawing
desk in to the latest class A FMBS.
2. Project management of different marine projects.
3. Research and Analysis of ship behavior in narrow channels using advanced 3D
visualization of all forces acting over ship hulls including ship line breaking forces and
ship to ship suction effects and latest Assessment and Analysis tool.
4. New virtual port creation and existing virtual ports reconstruction and training staff
sailing in to FMBS for future work in to it.
5. Sailing with disabled vessels, with list and trim programmed by the instructors as per
client’s wish.
6. PHD making using the unique simulation software, where everybody can provide his
own research.
7. TU Varna Maritime Qualification Center consist of a team of highly educated young

ports and facilities and providing different tests and research in existing port areas
