Summer Camp 2016 Fearless Faith
Summer Camp
2016
Fearless Faith
This is Wesley Woods
Nestled in the beauty of God’s
creation, Wesley Woods is a place
where children, youth and adults
encounter God though fellowship
and worship.
Our summer camping program
deepens spiritual connections
and offers opportunity for rustic
adventure with all the comforts of
home. It challenges campers to
become confident in both their
abilities and faith journeys.
Whether it’s navigating a high
ropes initiative, canoing across
rapids, or riding a horse through
the woods, Wesley Woods uses
experience to develop individual
and team skills. For those with
artistic and creative gifts, the
beautiful setting of the camp
brings out campers’ artistic
instincts and creativity.
But most importantly, Wesley
Woods is a place to learn God’s love
through life-changing experiences.

Progressive Horsemanship
Horse and Ext. Horse Camps
The Progressive Horsemanship Program (PHP) led
by Mike Eck, is a unique opportunity for campers to
move from getting started with horses to becoming
better riders. Campers pass from beginner to
advanced, at each stage earning a new pin. Each
camper has a special relationship with his or her
animal during the week. Taking this responsibility
helps campers to appreciate and care for God’s
creation. Each camp also offers a wide variety of other
camp activities, including daily Bible study,
worship, singing, swimming, crafts and games.
Making friends with other campers as well as
counselors helps build a Christian community that
grows together as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Dietary & Special Needs:
We want to try to accommodate every camper’s dietary or any other special needs. It is
important, though , that special needs be discussed with us. Please call the Wesley Woods
office with needs or questions. 814-436-7802
Other Physical Needs:
We don’t want any physical needs to come between a camper and their week of camp. If your
camper has a special physical need, please call the Wesley Woods office at 814-436-7802 or
email us at [email protected] to discuss how we can best accommodate them during a

Camperships
As a camp, Wesley Woods understands how rising costs affect a family’s budget. We
NEVER want cost to be an issue for families and want every child and youth to have an
affordable, unforgettable summer experience. Through our campership program, we can
offer funds to help make a life changing summer experience possible.
How you can save:
Basic Campership
Funds offered based on need and the type of camp.
Family Discount
The first child in each family pays full price, but each additional child is eligible for a $25
discount off his or her camp. If you have applied for a basic campership, the first child
pays the camp fee after the campership is applied and each additional child takes $25 off
their camp.
Woodchuck Discount
Pay for your camp in full by May 1 to avoid an additional $10 registration fee.
Local Church Camperships
Contact your local United Methodist Church for information on your church’s fundraising
and cost-sharing or campership program. Be sure that your share and your church’s share
of camp fees are paid in full by May 1 in order to avoid the $10 registration fee.
WESLEY WOODS CAMPERSHIP APPLICATION
Campership Policy: Camperships will be awarded to children coming to Wesley
Woods. Amounts vary, and will be awarded based on camper need. Funds are
awarded on a first come first served basis.
