Pic-A-Skill... FUN with a twist
This summer saw the return of many of your
favorite Pic-A-Skill choices: Self Defense,
Homemade Beauty and Junior Lifeguarding to
name a few. In addition we brought jump
rope, creative coloring and karaoke into the

Lolita Large, Program Staff member and mom to A session camper Stephanie, recently showed her

Camp Hollymont is excited to
welcome (back) Allie Denton to
our full time staff team! Allie will
join us full time in January as Assistant Director and will be working with Amy on camper recruitment, keeping up our social media
sites and creating fun, new activities for you all to enjoy this summer! Here’s what Allie has to say
about coming back to Hollymont:

I spent my first summer as a Hollymont camper in 2001 and have
been a CIT, counselor, and head counselor since. I still get excited
butterflies in my stomach when I first turn onto campus for the summer.
I am from Oxford, Mississippi and am a graduate of the University of
Mississippi. My hobbies include reading, writing, running and cooking. I love to travel! I studied abroad in South Africa during college
where I jumped from the world’s highest bungee jump and rafted the
great Zambezi River of Zimbabwe. After graduating, I spent a year
living in Istanbul, Turkey and Paris, France as a nanny. Nevertheless,
the serene location and fun friends at camp make it my favorite place
in the world!
I can’t wait for summer 2014 to be here. Hollymont has a special
place in my heart. I always slept in the top bunk, wrote home raving
about the food, and my love for nature can be traced back to the
rafting and camping trips. I crave tin foil dinners throughout the year
and do a happy dance when I see the “Welcome to Hollymont” cake
on the first night of camp. The Talent Show is one of my favorite
night activities because I get to watch our campers show off their
skills.
I look forward to making new memories with you guys this summer!
