A Resounding Round of Applause to:
Mary Corban (Outgoing Mentor Mom Chair) and this year’s Mentor Moms for hosting a very
informative coffee for our incoming freshmen moms. Congratulations to all the new Mentor Moms and
the new Mentor Mom Chair Donna Donnell.
Leigh Barbosa, Sharon Cozort, and Laurie Robinson (Junior Cross & Ring) for hosting a beautiful
reception for our juniors and their families as they transition into their senior year. The flowers at the
event were beautiful and the food was delicious.
Sharon Lundgren and Cary Welsh (Knitting for the Care Team) for hosting all the knitters every 1st and
3rd Mondays each month to pray and knit. It is fun and rewarding to make such beautiful shawls and
blankets for members of our community that are going through challenging times. Thank you to Karen
Glynn and Sheila Skipper (Care Team) for their support.
Martha Charbonnet, Beth Flinn, Tricia Georgiou, and Trish Hayes (Mothers For Others Style Show and
Luncheon) for organizing and coordinating this wonderful event for all incoming freshmen moms and
our current mothers. The venue was beautiful, the style show was fun, and the new Mothers’ Club
officers for 2015-2016 were installed.
Maria-Eugenia Gallagher and Monica Guerrero (Amigas) for hosting the end-of-year luncheon for
Strake Jesuit’s hard-working maintenance staff where we all enjoyed a delicious meal together. A
special thanks to Cynthia Lopez for donating the lunch from her family’s restaurant Lopez Mexican
Restaurant.
Rebecca Clark and Becky Litton (Junior/Senior Prom) for decorating the venue and coordinating a
successful and fun prom for all the attending students and their dates.
Donna Borland, Kim Perras and Catherine Short (Faculty/Staff Appreciaton Luncheons) for hosting a
delicious dinner for all faculty and staff, their spouses or significant other. Los Tios restaurant catered
the event and the food was enjoyed by everyone.
Aracely Neeley, Carol Quigley and Marilyn Taylor (Baccalaureate Reception) for hosting a reception for
the seniors students and their families after the Baccalaureate Mass. The reception was lovely and
much appreciated by all the attendees.
Kelly Mooz (Golf Scramble) for coordinating all the volunteers for the annual golf tournament at
Sweetwater Country Club. During the event, the volunteers drove the drink carts, helped with sign-in
and other fun things. It was a sunny beautiful day!
Last but not least, we thank ALL THE MOMS who make each and every event possible, successful, and
fun!
