DearArtists and Crafters,
Welcome to Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts, Vermont’s oldest
residential Arts and Crafts school. The Society of Vermont Artists and Craftsmen, Inc.
operates the school and is now in its 62nd year. We look forward to the return of our
students and instructors on campus this summer.
Remember when the toy catalogs would come in before the holidays and children
would read them cover to cover and dog ear pages of toys they dreamed for... well, this
catalog is your “Wish Book of Creativity”. Take time to read this one and explore new
techniques, and instructors for summer 2009, or brush up on your current skills.
We welcome new instructors this year, and we all look forward to seeing what they
will bring to the curriculum. It is always exciting for me to find a new, enthusiastic,
teacher with fresh ideas and new techniques in the arts and crafts. And we look
forward to seeing all of our instructors who return year after year to offer the finest
Arts and Crafts courses in the country, we are proud to have you here!
New this year, we have added a NEW PAYMENT OPTION to help spread your class
tuition payments out and make it easier to pay. Details are on page 3.
This summer enjoy the lovely surroundings of the farm, fields, pond and gardens.
Relax on campus with fellow artists and craftsmen. This is your studio away from
home for creative expression. Take time to meet old friends here and make new ones.
I hope that you will enjoy a creative experience and time of self-discovery at Fletcher
Farm School for theArts and crafts this summer and for many years to come.
Artfully yours,
Laurie Marechaux
Executive Director
“Creativity represents a miraculous coming together of the uninhibited energy of the
child with it apparent opposite and enemy, the sense of order imposed on the
disciplined adult intelligence.”

class, the tuition payment (in full) is required.
New Payment Option for this Year

time, however the Balance Due must be paid 21 days prior to the beginning date of the class. In the event
that the student Finds it necessary to cancel the class at any time, once the registration has been
accepted and processed, the 1/3 deposit will be forfeited. Please note that this refund policy is
different from the refund for full payment at the time of registration.
Tuition Refund Policy
If the School is notified in writing at least 30 days prior to the start of the class, we will refund the tuition

While we sympathize when circumstances arise that prevent a student from attending, we must make
commitments to our instructors; thus we must adhere to a reasonable business policy. We encourage all
students to REGISTER EARLY! Class sizes average 8-10 students.
