A SMALL yet enthusiastic field of Goulburn
Ovens Sedan Association
(GOSA) competitors recently visited Rushworth
Speedway Club and while
numbers were down, the
racing between Mitch
‘Sparky’ Watts, Mick ‘The
Minister’ Petit and Clint
‘Dirty Harry’ Henderson
entertained fans.
Three heats were run
with Watts winning the
first heat, Henderson the
second and Watts again in
the third.
A small eight-lap final
resulted in another win for
PURPLE POWER: Mitch ‘Sparky’ Watts on his way to victory.
Watts, who has not done
much racing this season,
taking the win ahead of
Petit, Henderson, Bunt
and Quinn.
Watts, from Leeton
originally but now based
in Corowa, held off Henderson, who has been in
consistent form up to this
point of the season.
Watts, Petit and Henderson are front runners
and real chances in the
Victorian title scheduled
for Brobenah Raceway in
New South Wales on May
31.
