Call our experienced technical support 877-678-3343 Step 3: ATM Programming : Nautilus Hyosung ATMs | 7 Step 3 ATM P rogramming The OptConnect OC-500 supports both Dial-up and High-Speed TCP/IP Communication. When running Dial-up communication, there is no need to alter any ATM programming. For a list of processor phone numbers, see page 20 of this guide. The OptConnect OC-250 runs high-speed transactions via TCP/IP communication. TCP/IP communication significantly cuts transaction speeds over dial-up transactions requiring less time for your customers to complete their transactions. Running TCP/IP involves programming the ATM for this mode of communication. You must have master password access to the ATM programming menus to make the necessary changes. The OC-250 runs ONLY high-speed wireless TCP/IP transactions only possible with ATMs capable of communicating via TCP/IP. Each Wireless Modem completes a live balance inquiry before being cleared for shipment. Should you experience problems with your Wireless Modem, please verify all installation and instructions in this Guide, and refer to the following Troubleshooting when diagnosing any issues that may arise. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact OptConnect at (877) 678-3343 for further assistance. If Your ATM is Unable to Complete Transactions • Verify that the Wireless Modem is plugged in, the Status Light is flashing green, and the Cell On and Signal Lights are solid green. • Verify that the CAT5E Ethernet Patch Cable (included) is connected to an open Ethernet port on you ATM and the Ethernet port on the Wireless Modem. OptConnect cannot guarantee successful transactions using an Ethernet cable other than that provided with the Wireless Modem. • Confirm that the ATM is programmed correctly for your processor with the correct Host IP Address and Host Port. If You Experience Intermittent Communication Issues • Verify sufficient signal strenth. If the Signal Lights indicate low signal strenght (1 to 2 bars), reposition the antenna. Allow a minimum of 5 seconds for the Wireless Modem to refresh the Signal Lights after moving the antenna. If the signal strenght does not improve, it may be necessary to purchase an in-line signal booster. Contact OptConnect at (877) 678-3343 for details. • If the Signal Lights are flashing, disconnect power from the Wireless Modem, wait 15 seconds, then reconnect power. Allow at least 2 minutes for the Wireless Modem to reboot. If the Signal Lights do not stop flashing after 5 minutes, please call OptConnect at (877) 678-3343 for further assistance. Need Help? Call our experienced technical support 877-678-3343 Troubleshooting | 19 Troubleshooting • Check for the presence of any large neon signs, drink coolers, or ice freezers in the vicinity of the Wireless Modem. Such machines may produce interference which can affect the cellular signal. If such machines are present, reposition the ATM and Wireless Modem away from these sources of interference. Set ATM Communication Type: TCP/IP Below is a list of the most common ATM Error Codes associated with Communication between the ATM and its Host. While this communication is handled solely by the Wireless Modem, these errors are most often the result of incorrect programming at the ATM. After verifying ATM programming and clearing any errors, if you are still experiencing problems completing transactions, please contact OptConnect at (877) 678-3343 for further assistance. Common ATM Error Codes Nautilus Hyosung, Hantle (Tranax), Genmega Codes D170X Modem Connection Error Verify all programming. Check Ethernet cable for kinks or damage. D25XX TCP/IP Communication Lost Verify all programming, especially Host TCP/ IP settings. Check Ethernet cable for kinks or damage. 192 Communication Error Verify all programming. Verify Ethernet cable is connected properly and is not damaged or kinked. 236 TCP/IP Communication Lost Verify all programming, especially Host TCP/ IP settings. Check Ethernet cable for kinds or damage. 237 TCP/IP Device Failed This occurs when out-going communication is successful, but return communication from the Host fails. Verify all programming. Check for presence of large neon signs, drink coolers, or ice freezers which may be causing interference in the cellular signal. Triton Codes Need Help?
