IntraCare North Hospital is not-forprofit, private psychiatric hospital. It
provides a continuum of behavioral
healthcare services for children,
adolescents and adults. We strive to create
an environment of respect for our patients’

information about a specific health plan.
PROGRAMS
INPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAM: for
those individuals who require 24 hour care
in a highly structured environment. The
focus of treatment is on crisis intervention,
stabilization and assessment of the
patient’s needs. The treatment team, led
by a psychiatrist, provides services that
may include individual, family and group
therapies, education groups, recreational
therapy, relapse prevention and discharge
planning.
DAY TREATMENT PROGRAM: provides
six to eight hours of programming per day.
Services may include individual, family and
group therapies, education groups, relapse
prevention and process groups. It is a
more structured program than traditional
outpatient therapy and may be used as an
alternative to hospitalization or as a stepdown program upon discharge from the
hospital.
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM:
programming is similar to that of the Day
Treatment Program, but provides services
an average of 10 to 15 hours per week.
E LECT RO CO NVULSIVE T HERAPY
(ECT): ECT is a procedure in which a
small amount of electrical current is sent
to the brain. ECT is given as a course of
treatments and may be provided on an
inpatient or outpatient basis.
Any program may serve as the point of
entry or as a transition from another level
of care.
