All Wisconsin Engineering machines have a professional cut and collection
system called the Alpha Cutting System. Why is it called “Alpha”? Because it’s
the best!

Making the best machines requires know how, innovation, rigorous testing,
and a relentless commitment to make premium machines.

The Alpha Cutting System represents a comprehensive, purpose specific
approach – starting with perfect blade angles, and optimal deck &tunnel
geometry, and finishing with robust collectors specially designed to be filled to
the maximum.

Low quality machines have big back axels and high, small tunnels. By contrast
we use customized low profile hydrostatic drive systems to keep tunnel low
and wide and maximize air flow. Optimally sized cross section and low angle
tunnels are the hallmarks of professional systems.

The benefits of a high performance
system are many:

Grass is gradually pulled into blade path,
and straightened prior to final cut
(gradually cut from the top down)

Clipping sizes are smaller for finer mulch
(i.e. faster decomposition) or more
efficient collector filling

Cut is uniform, and the wound to the
actual blade of grass is as small as
possible, keeping grass healthier and
reducing brown-cast

Mowing Deck – 122 cm
Exceptional Durability and Advanced Features
The 122 cm decks are fabricated, not stamped.
-Thicker steel used in construction and heavy
duty edging reinforces the deck where it gets
the most abuse.
- Provides more critical space between the top
of the blade and the deck pan than a stamped
deck
- Multiple handles and grab points greatly
simplify service AND provide additional
protection
Choice of Finish
- Standard powder paint – high quality finish suitable for most applications
- New for 2013! Hot Dip Galvanized – the ultimate in corrosion protection.
It is the preferred surface finish for harsh (fertilizer rich or sandy)
environments. It does not require frequent touch ups – it is the most
maintenance free finish practically available.
Mowing Deck – 122 cm
Belt driven mowing decks are durable, dependable,
inexpensive and easily replaced in the field.
Our extensive testing showed that the universal joints used with shaft drives can
perform badly or fail on uneven terrain. Shaft drives have market appeal, but
they:
 add costs
 still need service
 cost a fortune to repair or replace.
People hit things that break machines – replacing a belt and a blade spindle can be done
quickly, and in the field if needed. The costs of these components is relatively low
compared to a drive shaft and a new gearbox. Many dealers will not even stock the shaft
drive system components until they are needed – delays make for really unhappy
customers!
That’s why our mowing decks have high belts: great performance, easier repair.

with larger tractors and industrial drive systems to
select or, in cases where no suitable product was
available, to develop purpose matched drive
systems.
 The best components – not necessarily the
lowest costs – are used to ensure reliability and

Huge Tunnels
Cut even wet, tall grass without plugging
Everyone advertises they can cut in harsh conditions without plugging,
but only a very few machines actually can.
Tunnels must be:
Straight – no sharp bends or extreme angles. Bends act as walls where
clippings get stuck
Large – the speed & total volume of airflow through the system impact
cut quality, and collection performance
These machines used customized low profile hydrostatic drive systems
to keep tunnel low and wide.

the hallmark of a properly designed, and high
performance, cutting system design
 Bigger volume is useless without high collector fill
efficiency. A half filled 300 liter collector is only

Front Hitch and PTO Options
Front Hitch:
Hydraulic Power Pack:
•Quick attach type front hitch - the user basically drives up to
the implement, raises hitch, and secures the implement with
pins. No adjustment needed.
•Mounted instead of the mowing deck, and operation is controlled by a
dash mounted switch.
•Frame is made to accept hitch anytime – it can be a user
installed option.
•Lifting and lowering controls can be dash mounted or handheld.
•W-3500 uses and electric jack, whereas the W-3600 and W3800 have a hydraulic cylinder
•Lift capacity, at hitch end, is cca 250 kg.
•Delivers full engine power, and the hoses routed to either the front or
rear of the machine.
•Implements are easy to connect, and do not represent the same
physical concerns like rotating drive shafts ; implement positioning does
not matter
•Color coded connectors means virtually anyone can connect it correctly.
Front PTO Shaft
W-3800: The W-3800 has a front pto drive shaft available. This allows
use of ACTIVE implements without the hydraulic power pack, and the
mowing deck can stay on the machine. The HPP can still be used.
