2015 Tumblin’ Times November Newsletter Coming Soon: Adult Fitness Classes Want to get in a workout while your child is in class? Starting in January, we will be offering Adult Fitness Classes. Days and times will vary. More information coming soon! Team Icon This season, our competitive gymnastics team has undergone a transformation. We have a new team name, Icon, and all new apparel. We are excited for our gymnasts to compete during this 2015-2016 season. October 24th – 25th, Icon Level 2 and 3 competed their first meet, Halloween Scream! For many of the gymnasts, it was their first time competing, and we are so proud of the team’s performance. Level 2 and Level 3 received 2nd place. November 1st, Icon competed at our in-house mock meet. All of the gymnasts did a fantastic job! These girls are ready to rock their first meets at Flipz Invitational (Xcel) and Barron Invitational (Level 4-10, Xcel). Student of the Month Congratulations to Olivia Fehling, October Student of the Month! Miss Brittney says Olivia has a positive attitude and always tries her hardest at every event. Way to go, Olivia! Important Dates November 8th: Flipz USA Invitational • Competitive Team Meet • Xcel Only • Flipz USA – Columbia, MO November 25th – 28th: Closed for Thanksgiving • Normal classes will resume Monday, November 30th December 4th – 6th: Barron Invitational • Competitive Team Meet • Level 4-10, Xcel • St. Louis, MO December 12th – 13th: Fall Championships • Competitive Team Meet • Level 3 • Flipside Gymnastics Featured Gymnast: Alexa Adams Age: 8 Level: 3 Cold Weather Years in Gymnastics: 1 As the temperature begins to get colder, please remember that students are not allowed to wear pants, tights, or socks during their classes. Favorite Event: Vault What Alexa Loves Most About Gymnastics: “I get to go to meets and show off my stuff!” Illness To keep everyone at the gym healthy, please do not send sick children to the gym – this includes bringing siblings that are ill into the gym to watch a class. If your child has a temperature of over 100.9 degrees or has been vomiting, etc., they need to stay at home until they are well. What Coaches Say About Her: Alexa is a motivated and extremely positive gymnast! She does a great job making corrections and always keeps a positive attitude with coaches and her teammates.
