A Weekend Retreat for Women
August 6-8, 2010
We use many words to attempt to understand and enter into the mystery
of the Great Holy: God is love. God is ever-present. God is all-knowing.
God is faithful. God is good. During this weekend retreat, we will reflect
on the biblical meaning of some of the attributes assigned to God, and the
invitation within each of them to become the loving presence and goodness of God in the world. We will pay particular attention to the ways in
which goodness comes to us through the sensate aspects of life.
Sr. Fran Ferder, FSPA, Ph.D., D.Min.
is a Clinical Psychologist and pastoral theologian, lectures nationally
and internationally on issues related to human relationships,
sexuality, communication, pastoral theology and religious life.
Fran is the author of Words Made Flesh: Scripture, Psychology, &
Human Communication, and co-author (with Fr. John Heagle) of
Tender Fires: The Spiritual Promise of Sexuality. Sr. Fran & Fr. John
team teach courses in pastoral ministry and sexuality at Seattle
University’s Graduate School of Theology and Ministry.
