The challenge of providing a quality education to
students in Kearney is an ongoing process. Your
support and attendance at the GOLD Dinner and
Auction is helping make a difference in the lives
of hundreds of students. We trust you will have a
splendid evening, and we hope you catch the spirit
that GOLD will create. We are grateful for your
attendance, generosity, and the difference you are
making in Kearney’s education.

As a courtesy to all GOLD guests, a “designated
driver” service is being provided. At your request
a GOLD designated driver will drive you and your
vehicle home.

Dear GOLD Guests:
It has been an honor to serve as this year’s GOLD
Chairs! What an amazing celebration of the work we
can do together when we exercise our God given talents
to share in service to each other and future generations.
This is an incredible opportunity to raise funds, enabling
Kearney Catholic to continue it’s mission of providing a
solid, faith-filled Catholic education.
Our deepest appreciation to those who give of
themselves in service each and every day - our amazing
teachers, administrators, employees and volunteers.
We are humbled by the generosity of so many and the
countless hours volunteered to make such a notable
night. A sincere thanks to all those who have contributed
to tonight’s auction. Without their generosity, this event
could not happen. It is humbling and rewarding to see
the unconditional support of this community. We are
especially grateful to Cindi Richter for her outstanding
support, amazing leadership, and willing dedication in
service to Kearney Catholic.
A very special thank you to each of you for your
attendance, prayers, and financial gifts. It is only
with your help that Kearney Catholic can continue
it’s mission. It is our sincere hope that you enjoy the

Dear Gold Guests
On behalf of the Kearney Catholic Family I would
like to welcome you to the 21st G.O.L.D. dinner and
Auction.
Over the last 20 years G.O.L.D. has not only grown but
flourished because of the unparalleled generosity of the
donors, special guests and volunteers. This generosity
has propelled Kearney Catholic and its students to new
heights.
The plethora of contributions that G.O.L.D. has
provided are visible throughout the school. G.O.L.D’s
invaluable impact takes the form of a bus, suburbans,
computers, kilns, laptops, ipads, Chromebooks, lab
equipment, and lockers to name but a few. KCHS is
deeply indebted to all of you who are so generous with
your time, talent and treasure.
Looking at the big picture, G.O.L.D’s greatest
contribution has been keeping the Dream Alive. That
dream being the opportunity to provide a Catholic
Seconday education in Kearney, Nebraska. The dream
that Monsignor Miles originated in 1959. The successes
of Gold have played a major role in growing the
“Dream”. Today the enrollment at Kearney Catholic is
the largest in its history boasting a student population of
365 students.
Educationally the students at Kearney Catholic have,
“Excelled.” G.O.L.D. has helped to ensure that the
students at Kearney Catholic have the tools that are
necessary for them to excel. There is a direct parallel
between the success of G.O.L.D. and the success that
Kearney Catholic is experiencing.
The Season of Thanksgiving and Christmas are upon
us, special times for giving thanks. There is no way that
the Kearney Catholic Family can adequately thank all
of you for being so generous in sharing your blessings.
Your generosity is truly humbling and we thank you for
your continued presence and support.
The ambiance of the evening, the company of friends
and the spirit of the Thanksgiving and Christmas season
all embody the spirit of G.O.L.D. We hope that each
of you enjoy the evening and have a very memorable
experience.

General Auction Rules
1. All sales are final, and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items except where specified; in
most cases all items and services must be used by
November 15, 2016.
2. Use only the Bid Number assigned to you. This
is your number for bidding purposes and you are
responsible for any bid made with your number.
3. Payments may be made with cash, check, MasterCard, Discover, and Visa. Payment is mandatory
the evening of GOLD 2015 unless other arrangements have been made. Group purchases will be
allowed but details must be coordinated with the
Auction Cashier. Purchased items may be removed
by exhibiting a paid receipt.
4. Items must be removed the evening of GOLD 2015
unless arrangements have been made.
5. Kearney Catholic High School and the donors
make NO express or implied warranties of fitness,
merchantability, or the like, or representations of
any kind or nature with respect to the property or
services being sold at this auction. NO statement
in the catalog or statements made at the sale shall
be deemed to be a warranty, representation, or
assumption of liability. Neither Kearney Catholic
High School, the Kearney Catholic High School
Foundation or the Donors are responsible for any
personal injuries or damages to property or services
sold.
6. To determine the amount of the charitable contribution, consult your tax advisor. Values set forth on
items being auctioned are the donor’s estimate and
are not warranted by GOLD. 7. If the item purchased requires donor assistance, it
is suggested that the donor be contacted as soon as
possible after GOLD 2015.
8. Absentee bidding has been included for those who
are unable to attend but wish to bid on any item.
Ask for more information.
9. Auction Cashiers will be at the reception tables near
the entrance of the building.

Silent Auction Rules
1. The Silent Auction tables will open at 6:00 p.m.
Tables A-E will close precisely at 7:45 p.m.
Tables F-K will close precisely at 7:55 p.m.
Tables L-N will close precisely at 8:05 p.m.
Table O, P, Almost Live and
Centerpieces will close precisely at 8:15 p.m.

Each Silent Auction item will have a Bid Card next
to it on the Silent Auction tables. To enter a bid,
write your Name, and/or Bid Number, and Amount
Of Bid. You must enter at least the MINIMUM
BID. EACH SUBSEQUENT BID MUST EQUAL
OR EXCEED THE MINIMUM RAISE AND BE
WRITTEN ON THE NEXT AVAILABLE BLANK
LINE ON THE BID CARD. Bids may be disqualified if they do not meet the minimum bid or raise.
Silent Auction Workers will be available to answer
questions and assist in completing the Bid Cards.
When the Silent Auction tables close, the silent
Auction Workers will highlight the successful bid
and take the Bid Card to the Auction Clerks. In the
event of a discrepancy in bids, a GOLD committee
member will make the final judgment, which will
be final.

After the winning bid has been determined, a
Silent Auction Worker will deliver the bid form to
the successful bidder and the other copy will be
returned to the Auction Cashier. The successful
bidder will present the copy to the Cashier along
with payment to pick up the item(s).

Grand Auction Rules
1. The Grand Auction will begin at 8:15 p.m. and
will continue until all Grand Auction items
have been auctioned. Grand Auction items
will be on display from 6:00 p.m. until the end
of the evening.
2. To enter a bid, raise your Bid Number high
enough to attract the attention of the auctioneer. Bid takers will be available to watch for
bids and to call out bids to the auctioneer.
You are responsible for all bids made on your
behalf by the bid takers.
3. Upon making a winning bid, an auction runner
will deliver a bid form to the successful bidder,
and the other copy will be returned to the
Auction Cashier. The successful bidder will
present the copy to the Cashier along with
payment to pick up the item(s).
4. Decisions of the auctioneer shall be final.
Absentee Bidding
Absentee Bidding is available to accommodate
friends of Kearney Catholic High School. Those
who are unable to be present for the dinner will
have an opportunity to bid on the silent and live
auction items. Designated GOLD representatives
will be bidding for these individuals.

GOLD 2015 when you participate in our Express
Check Out service. With Express Check Out
you’re guaranteed a swift exit with all your GOLD
purchases in hand without standing in line at our
cashier’s table.
Here is how it works:
When you arrive at GOLD, visit the Express
Check Out table located at the registration tables.
Simply present your Visa, Mastercard, Discover
card or a signed personal check made payable to
the KCHS Foundation. An auction volunteer will
note your Express Check Out status.
Any purchases you make at GOLD, including Silent or Grand Auction items, centerpieces or other
decorating items will be credited to your account.
You will receive an itemized receipt for your purchases within a week via the mail. If you do not
purchase any item at GOLD, your check or credit
card will not be used.
With Express Check Out, there is no need to stop
by the cashier...no waiting in line...simply relax
at your table and enjoy the evening...we will mail
your receipt and the total amount of your purchases
to you.
