She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and taught music in Frederick County schools for several years. Anne‐ Lynn was the first woman auctioneer in Maryland, the first in Maryland to receive Certified Auctioneers Designation (C.A.I.) and was the first woman in the nation to be elected to the Board of Directors for the National Auctioneers Foundation. She now is in her 34th year conducting benefit auctions as the "Singing Auctioneer." She performs “Op to Pop” concerts to raise awareness and funds for the Anne‐Lynn Gross Breast Cancer Center at Frederick Community College. 12 Mount Olivet Cemetery Next to the Keys Stadium on South Market Street, Frederick, MD The Grave Site of the author of our National Anthem, Francis Scott Key rests just inside the Gates of Mount Olivet Cemetery. This Flag Day of 2013 the Original Manuscript written by Key will be on display in Frederick. A brief stop will be made at Mt. Olivet before it journeys to City Hall and then to the Visitor Center. This is the first time the Manuscript and Key will be together in 199 years. More Events Planned for 2014. For information on services and events call (301) 662-1164. In 1981, he established his own appraisal company, Hagen & Hagen Appraisers, Inc. He has appraised the estates of many prominent figures, including Clare Booth Luce, J. Edgar Hoover, and Justice Harry Blackmun. Hagen & Hagen appraised all gifts, both foreign and domestic, for President and Mrs. Clinton during the Clinton Presidency. KELBAUGH R oss J. Kelbaugh has been collecting, researching, and publishing important Maryland photographs and their stories for nearly four decades. MALONEY D avid Maloney is a Certified Appraiser of personal property and a nationally known appraiser, author, TV and radio‐talk show guest, and lecturer. He received his Bachelors degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and his Masters from the Naval Postgraduate School. He founded Frederick Appraisal, Claims & Estate Services in 1982 and is a full‐time professional personal property appraiser specializing in the valuation of antiques, collectibles, residential contents, vehicles, and business equipment. David has served at the Chapter and the National levels as Vice President of the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). He has earned numerous ISA awards including the Lamp of Knowledge Award, Distinguished Service Award, Member‐of‐the‐Year Award, and President's Award. David has hosted “Collecting Across America, on Public Television and was a guest appraiser on “Treasures in Your Home” on PAX‐TV. Mary has been a student of textiles for over 30 years, specializing in the history of textile production in the United States and the evolution of the construction and styles of quilts of the past two centuries. Her studies have included courses with well‐known quilt researcher Barbara Brackman and courses sponsored by the American Quilters' Society and the American Quilt Study Group. Mary shares her love of textiles through her gallery at the Cooper’s Shed Quilts, which is part of the Doub's Mill Historic District on Beaver Creek in Hagerstown, Maryland. She has presented lectures to groups throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia on topics such as "The History of Quilts," "Dating Quilts," and "How to Care for Vintage Linens." Don has been interested in lighting since he was old enough to walk and traveled with his father to auctions and antique shops. When he was 16, he did antique shows, buying and selling lamps and general antiques. After graduating, Don took over his father’s business and has been buying and selling antiques, especially lighting, ever since. He has collected early lighting and early Coca‐Cola signs made of tin, porcelain, glass, and cardboard, as well as pre‐1940 vending machines (gumball and peanut machines) for over 35 years. He owns and operates the Brass & Copper Shop in Frederick. 22 BRUCE M. SCHUETTINGER B ruce Schuettinger is a furniture conservator, lecturer, personal property consultant, and President of Schuettinger Conservation Services, Inc., a firm specializing in the treatment of wooden artifacts. He is a Professional Associate Member of the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, a member of the Washington Conservators Guild, a past accredited member of the International Society of Appraisers, and a member of the National Historic Trust. He is a past adjunct faculty member of the appraisers studies program of George Washington University. 23 Save the Date!
