Inroduction
After many great succesfull years with our colleagues from Skydive Center Spa,
we are honoured to host this year’s ESL finals the first weekend of September
(5–7 Sept).
Paracentrum Texel was founded in 1969 on the beautiful Dutch Island Texel and
has been contributing the Dutch skydive community for many years now. We are
specialized in tandem skydiving and parachute courses. Both staticline and AFF.
We have been organizing big events and the Dutch nationals many times. Paracentrum Texel makes about 20.000 jumps per year over the summer months with
their 2 C-208 caravans.
Planes
For the competition we will have one regular Cessna Caravan and two C-208b
Grand Caravans available which should give us plenty of flight capacity. We can
jump from 09:00 untill 19:00 hour in the evening on Friday and Saturday. Sunday morning we will start flying at 10.00 AM due to local regulations. Texel has
hardly any altitude restrictions and during the competition we will have priority
over other local traffic. For the competition the airport management extended our
regular landing area all the way over the flight line from the PCT building until the
area in front of the airport restaurant, real big!
Costs
Registration fee is € 145,- per team and € 105,- per team jump (5 x € 21,-)
Packing and facilities
For packing we have two large hangars available one at each side of the extendend landing area. The PCT hangar has also 5 team rooms. We will try to have
plenty of packers for all the teams. Let us know whether you want to use our
packers, bring your own packers or want to pack yourself. On site we have a
large shop where you can buy all kind of skydiving accessories. Our rigging shop
is available for repacks and small repairs.
Restaurant
We have made an agreement with the Airport Restaurant for breakfast, lunch and
diner. You can eat all three meals a day for as little as € 22,50. The restaurant
has a great view over the airport and landing area and Scandinavian Yukka (last
year at Spa) will be there together with all judges to review all the jumps. There
will be a big screen so everybody can watch the jumps while relaxing or eating.
Accomodation
For accommodation we contacted our neighbours from campsite / bungalow park
De Krim. This is one of the finest accommodations on the Island and for the participants of the ESL we have arranged a large camping field where you can stay for
only € 5,- p.p. per night including hot showers and use of the swimming pool. At
the park there are many facilities like a tennis court, movie theater, both in and
outdoor swimming pool, sauna, restaurants, bars and more. The Krim is situated
about two kilometers from the airport. Teams who want to come early to Texel to
train prior the competition are welcome from Monday on. More information about

Ferry
The way to get on the Island is by boat from the city of Den Helder. The ferry
company TESO sponsors the event with free passage. You will have to pay your
own ticket up front, but you get a refund at the dropzone. Of course we will need
your ticket for that, so don’t loose it! This deal is only valid if you travel to Texel
on Thursday. Info about the ferry? Check www.teso.nl There’s public transportation on the island, but taking your car or sharing a ride is much easier.

Saturday evening we will have a big Island BBQ with lots of food and beer and a
big party afterwards!

competition!!!!
