We have lived out the moments
of 2015 between the lines of Psalm 34. We have truly tasted and
seen that the Lord is good. Our souls have been instructed to boast in the Lord and Him alone. The angel of the
Lord encamped around us. The Lord went before us and smoothed out the rough places. In our troubles He delivered us. He came near to the brokenhearted. He answered and delivered us from our fears. We have not been
in want of any good thing. Our hearts are stayed in the promise that none who take refuge in Him will be condemned. His praise is continually on our lips.
As a family unit...
We transitioned from living 3500 miles apart to living within 30 minutes of each
other. We signed the final high school diploma after teaching K-12 for 25 years. Our summer household swelled
with extended-stay family members. We sought counsel as our daughter faced the realities of a broken engagement. We have multiple reasons to be grateful for competent, compassionate medical professionals. We mourned
the loss of a tiny grandchild who was born to soon for us to hold. We are ever looking for ways to share hope with
each other both at home and abroad. In a year’s time someone from our family will have visited Swaziland, Jordan, Israel, Guatemala, and Egypt. We are expecting the arrival of 2 grandbabies. We pray
that Psalm 34 will be multiplied to you as it has been to us. He says... Come. Listen. Seek Peace.
Do Good. Be Blessed. Our radiant faces will be a testimony of His faithfulness, for He takes away our shame.
Let us exalt His name together as we journey through the experiences of 2016.
