High qualified Sp. Coaches and Camp counsellors,
unparalleled services and facilities, perfect weather
for training, natural surroundings, with a spirit
of improvement and development … This is the
foundation on which the Mareo Football Camps rest,
celebrating on 2014 its 20th edition, maintaining its
international recognition.
It is no coincidence that, year after year, almost
thousand children from all over the world, comes to
Mareo Football Academy. It is not only the children’s
football passion, but also the environment for
creating lifelong friendships.
The majority of our students return to Mareo year
after year. Some of them, sign for the Youth level
teams of Real Sporting de Gijón, following the
steps of international figures as Quini, Joaquin, Eloy,
Ablanedo, Luis Enrique, Manjarín, Abelardo, Juanele,
Villa…
Mareo is a football paradise and its Summer Camp,
is a truly unique opportunity to enjoy the sport of
football in a professional environment with children
of different nationalities.
Facilities
Mareo Football Academy is located 6 km far from Gijon, in a natural surrounding. It offers unique facilities, where
the trainings can be conductedon natural or artificial grass fields

14 pupils). They belong to Mareo football
academy’s organization.
• 1 free time coordinator + 9 free time monitors,
working 24 hours to take care of the pupils,
organizing all activities during the football
breaks as tournaments or great night games.

Objectives
Our football camps open the doors of our farm team
to all children and youth who enjoy playing football.
All the work we do with children will be directly
related to Mareo football academy methodology.
We will divide the trainings in three stages, but all
are inter-related.

The BEGINNERS period has an analytical method
with a games sport component. The objective is
to focus on each game action, to attain the skill
perfection. During this stage we will work with
children that were born between 2002/2007 (both
years included)
In the PERFORMANCE period, the player has more
experience and training. At this moment, the competition
performance is a basic element. Implementing the
directional method with the support of the integrated
and analytic. Building through the game knowledge
from the easiest to the most difficult. In this stage we well
work with children that were born between 1998/1999
(both years included).

Students can join the Campus in two
ways:
Resident student: Living in the cabins
of the camps for a week. Enter the
Sunday afternoon (16:00 to 19:00) and
ends the following Saturday (13:00).
Parents or guardians must take charge of
transporting the entry of the first day and
the exit of the last day.
Nonresident student: No sleeping in the
cabins of the Campus. Starts on Monday
(9:15) and returns home each day (20:00).
It ends the following Saturday (13:00).
TRANSFER TO CAMP
We offer a pick up and transfer students
and airport stations, prior agreement
with the student’s family (15€).
We also establish a bus service for
nonresident students, from Gijón.
CLOSING PARTY
The day will begin at 10 am in the
morning, and all participants qualify
for the final qualifying round of the
3x3 tournament and the final testing of
technical circuit, finishing at 12:00.
At 13:00 will start the closing ceremony
of the Camp.

Mareo Football Academy
Nowadays Mareo Football Academy is one of the most
important football academies in Spain in different age groups.
First team players, as Nacho Cases, Juan Muñiz or Pablo Pérez
are the most recent examples of a large list of players this
year that have been growing with younger players as Álex
Serrano, Álvaro Bustos, Guillermo Donoso, Julio Rodríguez,
Carlos Castro (international U19), Jorge Meré, Pelayo Suárez,
Ismael Aizpiri, Daniel Martín, Alberto González y Ana Valles

invalid boots cleats aluminum or plastic thread)

sweatshirts, goalkeeper material ( long pants, gloves
and pullover ) , cap, stockings and socks.
STREET CLOTHES: Pants, shirt,socks and underwear.
FOOTWEAR: Sneakers, flip-flops, shoes or street.
GROOMING: Towels, soap, shampoo, comb,
