Online Faculty Evaluation System (OFES)
Through this system, a faculty member
is evaluated
of
his
classroom
instruction
performance online. Unlike the manual
system of evaluation wherein only a
random sample of the students can
evaluate their teachers, the online
faculty evaluation allows one hundred
per cent of the students to participate
in the evaluation.
Online Faculty Evaluation System (OFES)
The system empowers the students –
the reason for being of state universities
and colleges – by enabling them to bring
to the attention of the management their
experiences in the classroom and suggest
ways for further improvement of the
University’s teaching‐learning process. At
the same time, the system assists the
University Administration in rationalizing
the distribution of teaching load based on
the faculty members’ evaluation ratings.
Communication Tracking System (CTS)
This is a system that facilitates the
tracking of the communications in the
University.
The system provides data on real
time status of the communications. It
also records the length of time it took
an office to process a request that it
received until it is passed on to the
next office or released to the
requesting party.
Communication Tracking System (CTS)
This system is very useful
in the performance evaluation of
the University both at the office
level and the employee level by
comparing
the
actual
accomplishment of an office and
its employees (in terms of
timeliness) relative to their
targets as contained in the Office
Performance Commitment and
Review
(OPCR)
and
the
employees’
Individual
Performance Commitment and
Review (IPCR).
e‐Mabini Portal
This is a Learning
Management System (LMS)
based on open‐source
learning platform called
MOODLE (Modular Object‐
Oriented Dynamic Learning
Environment) being used
by
the
PUP
Open
University in delivering
education services to its
students online.
I. Deployment of IT‐based solutions to enhancing efficiency in the operations of the University II. Pamantasang Bayan
III. PUP Campuses
Pamantasang Bayan
PUP has championed the interests and welfare of the poorest
of the poor Filipinos by offering academic programs through its
“Pamantasang Bayan”. It started with the offering of non‐degree
(vocational‐technical) programs in 1970s and was formally
established in 1990. Also, it became known as the PUP Open
University, making it the first open and distance education
institution in the country.
Pamantasang Bayan
The PUP OPEN University initially offered
bachelor’s and master’s programs for students in the
following areas:
¾
¾
¾
¾
¾
San Pedro, Laguna
Calaca, Batangas
Lopez and Mulanay in Quezon
Lagro, Quezon City
Parañaque
Later, with strong partnership with many
more local government officials, PUP
Open University expanded to include 25
municipalities all over the Philippines.
I. Deployment of IT‐based solutions to enhancing efficiency in the operations of the University II. Pamantasang Bayan
III. PUP Campuses
Creation of 13 Campuses
By bringing the University to the
rural communities and expanding
access to education, PUP has
enabled more than 13,000 young
Filipinos to complete their diploma
and bachelor’s degrees from 1996 to
present. These graduates could not
have pursued their degrees had it
not been for the PUP Campuses that
bridged the wide distance between
the closest university in their area or
province and their residence and
matched their very limited financial
capability to an affordable quality
education.
