Mason hires new Superintendent.
The Board of Education would like to announce with pleasure that we have hired Andrew Shaw as our next
Superintendent beginning July 1st. We’d like to thank all who took part in the Superintendent search process. We believe Andrew will be a great addition to our district. Have a great day!

We are on our way to fulfilling our promise of a Clean, Safe, and Warm environment for our students.
In keeping with our transparency promise to the voters, here is how the sinking fund monies are being spent.
Gym floor in high school—Kuhn Specialty Flooring Beverly Hills, MI—Base Bid $ 95,500.00
Elementary and middle school bathrooms—Cross Renovations Garden City, MI—Base Bid $149,777
High School gym bleachers—Interkal out of Kalamazoo, MI—Base Bid $87,700
A special thank-you to the many volunteers that came and removed the old bleachers and old gym floor. A large portion of the
bleachers and the gym floor will be repurposed .
The high school gym ceiling was cleaned as a summer project and the gym was painted by volunteers from Liedel Power Cleaning
Company and also Tom and Peg Banachowski.

Timothy Nadonly was awarded with 4
tickets to the Toledo Mudhens Game
on June 10th for being the top walker
in the Mason Central Walking Club. He
walked 75 miles this year. Timothy
was on the Mudhens pre-game talk
show, threw out the first pitch and
enjoyed a free meal compliments of
the Toledo Mudhens. The fifth grade
teachers joined him at the game.

Our Community Comes Together
On June 13, 2015 many of our community members, staff, and students came out to support a great
cause, the 3rd Annual Race for the Kids. All proceeds went to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Williams Syndrome Association, and the family of Dylan Kevorkian, the 5 year old daughter of
one of our teachers, who is suffering from a chronic kidney disease.

A Note From The Superintendent
Thank you to the Mason Consolidated Schools Board of Education for this opportunity of being the next superintendent. It is a privilege for me to lead such an incredible district and am
truly honored and humbled for this opportunity.
It’s important for you to know who I am and to take care of the big question that many have, I’m 44 years old. My wife is the pastor of a church in Adrian and we have a daughter who is in
the 5th grade. We have relatives across the state of Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, New York and Washington. I grew up between Lansing and Grand Rapids in a little town called Lake
Odessa where I graduated from Lakewood High School. In the fall of 1990 I moved to Adrian and went to Adrian College where I had the privilege to earn my undergraduate degree. I
earned a masters degree in K-12 Administration from Michigan State. Go Green! After Adrian College I taught and coached with Hudson schools and have been the principal and superintendent at Pittsford schools.
Know that I have an open door policy and invite you to stop in and introduce yourself. I look forward to building lasting relationships as we work towards meeting the goals of educating
all students.
