The level of the event depends not only on statuses of guests, but on the business
programme quality, too. This year we are going to hold over 40 various conferences
and round table discussions during SPIGF. Traditionally, the participants will arrive for
the 4th International Congress of Oil and Gas Industry Professionals, where global
tendencies and the state policy within the industry will be discussed, the role of the liquefied
natural gas and its share in the future global energy balance will be assessed,
and the resource base for largest gas projects and key aspects of their realisation

One of the advantages of the Forum is complementarity of the convention and the

the International Specialised Exhibition “InGAS Stream – Innovations in Gas Industry“,
the International Specialised Exhibition “Gas Engine Fuel“ and the International Exhibition
of Natural Gas Industry and Technologies for Gas Facility “ROS-GAZ-EXPO“.
The Forum is obviously a success. In 2014 the event was attended by three times more
specialists than in 2013: over 7 thousand persons from 21 countries arrived to take part
in the Forum. This year we expect the event to become even more popular. Key participants
have already been approved, and the event is supported by high-level state officials: thus,
the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation intends to take part
in the exhibition and congress events of the Forum in 2015.

OF GAZPROM ALEXEY MILLER AND THE GOVERNOR
OF ST. PETERSBURG GEORGY POLTAVCHENKO.
Over 700 guests visited the event, including officials from a number of Russian
and foreign ministries and agencies, St. Petersburg Government representatives,
representatives of embassies and consulates of foreign states, chambers of commerce
and industry, international and Russian exhibition companies, mass media and many
more. The event was covered by over 50 mass media organisations. Media monitors
have reported more than 200 media publications, TV and radiobroadcasts covering
the event.
The newly constructed venue of EXPOFORUM testifies to Russia’s high openness
for international dialogue, cooperation and sharing of best practices. Those were the
words of the Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom Alexey Miller’s
welcoming address at EXPOFORUM’s opening ceremony. He pointed out that the new
Convention and Exhibition Centre will become Russia’s foreign relations development
venue that will give an impetus for the social and economic growth of St. Petersburg.
Having thanked Alexey Miller for his gift to the city, the Governor of St. Petersburg
Georgy Poltavchenko said that this modern venue will be conducive to attracting
an even greater number of visitors from around the world as well as to the evolvement
of business tourism: “The venue will host congresses and forums, exhibitions
and festivals. All this will foster St. Petersburg’s economics”.

THE VEHICLE RALLY, WHICH MARKED AN OFFICIAL INAUGURATION
OF THE 4th ST. PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL GAS FORUM,
WAS STARTED BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
OF GAZPROM ALEXEY MILLER.
According to him, today, gas engine fuel is one of the top industrial priorities of both
Russia and Europe.
“The rally’s goal is to popularize natural gas as the most environmentally safe
and cost efficient engine fuel, as well as to encourage the domestic mass production
of natural gas-driven automobiles to get it up and running,” – said the A. Miller.
Senior Vice President of E.ON Global Commodities SE Uwe Fip shared this view
pointing out that the rally that has already been run for 8 years sweeping through
practically all European countries, manifests that one can ride an automobile without
polluting environment.
“I am confident that the rally “St. Petersburg – Verona” will start a new era for
the natural gas,” – he said in his speech.
