connected to the thermal stream of a

26 Lagoon Adventure Pool • Willingen
You no longer need a hammer and pick
to make your way through the tight,
damp and dark crevices, but that is
what the medieval miners had to do
when they began mining here in 1552 as
they followed the seams of cooper ore
into the mountains. Today the mines
are secured and easily accessible.
A tour through the Bertsch mines is
educational, but also a little creepy!
This is where the seven dwarfs are said
to have toiled, nowadays the mines
are used to extract the red and white
Kellerwald agate.

using only hammers and picks, are the
impressive remains of the miners’ toil
and labour.

4 C. D. Rauch’s Birthhouse • Bad Arolsen
The birthhouse of the historical painter
and illustrator Wilhelm von Kaulbach
is among the oldest buildings of
the Baroque residential city. The
typical artisan house was home to
the family members who worked as
artistic carpenters for the Waldeck
princes and citizens. Examples of their
craftsmanship and the original carpentry
workshop illustrate their work. Paintings
and graphical work offer insights into
the history of the painters’ dynasty.

Christian Daniel Rauch was born in the
Lakaienhaus on 2nd January 1777. The
modest site in the former hop gardens
is made up of a residential house and
a farm building. Tools, examples of his
work and a selection of 19th century
portraits offer an impression of the
sculptor’s personality. Drawings provide
an insight into how the sculptures were
made and the journals from his trips to
Italy in 1804 and 1829 document his
encounters with Italian monuments.

Schloss Wilhelmsthal is considered one
of the most beautiful Rococo castles
in Germany. Landgrave Wilhelm VIII
von Hesse-Kassel (1751-1760) had this
summer residence constructed as a
three-wing building between 1747 and
1761. The extraordinary appeal of the
castle primarily lies in its historical
interior decoration, which has barely
changed at all. The picturesque
landscape park is also an inviting place
to relax.

of the Brothers Grimm. Find all of these
different guises at the Holleum, in the
land of the Meissner, fairy-tales, herbs
and the underworld. A memorable

Terms of use for the card
Terms of use for the card
Dear guests,
Welcome to the home of the Brothers Grimm. With the advantages as part of the
MeineCardPlus, we would like to make your stay a special experience, together
with the participating accommodation facilities, private guesthouses, service
partners and the towns and regions in ‘GrimmHeimat Nordhessen’. To that end
there are also clear agreements regarding shared rights and responsibilities
which we would like to comply with, together with you, in the form of the following
terms of use. You can find a detailed view of the terms of use online at
www.MeineCardPlus.de/Nutzungsbedingungen.
1. Principle and subject of these terms
of use
1.1. The issuer of the card and
the partner of the card usage
contract with the card holder is
Regionalmanagement
Nordhessen
GmbH, Ständeplatz 13, 34117 Kassel,
henceforth abbreviated to ‘RMN’.
These terms of use govern the terms
for using the card itself, as well as
the contract and service relationship
with the service partner, insofar as in
addition to the agreements to be met
by the card holder where appropriate.
2. Legal basis, information and
assurances by third parties
2.1. The corresponding provisions
of these terms of use and, where
effectively agreed or generally
applicable
according
to
legal
provisions, the terms of business
and/or terms of service or carriage
of the service partner, as well as the
legal provisions applicable to the
service relationship, shall apply for the
contractual and service relationship
between the card holder and the
service partner.
2.2. The hosts and other outlets of
the card are not authorised by RMN to
meet agreements deviating from these
terms of use, nor to give information or
make assurances that deviate from the
applicable service specification of the
card, nor to contradict or go beyond
the same. The same applies to service
partners, unless the information,
deviating agreement or assurance
relates to their own service.
2.3. The issuance and use of the
card incurs no contractual obligation
regarding the services themselves
between the card holder and the hosts or
RMN and/or the outlets. The respective
service partner, and not RMN or the
host or outlet, is exclusively obligated
to render the corresponding service
for the card holder, unless the service
concerned relates to their own offers.
3. The type and scope of services,
restrictions of services, exclusion from
use and the period of validity of the
card
3.1. By issuing the card, the host or
RMN enables the card holder to use the
services listed in the correspondingly
applicable
service
specification
of the card. The type and scope of
the services for the card holder are
determined exclusively by the service
specification applicable at the time
the card is issued, which is provided to
the card holder together with the card
or otherwise generally advertised or
disclosed.
3.2. The service partners are only
obligated to render the service in
accordance with the general terms
of their business, in particular under
consideration of the advertised
services periods, opening times and
general service requirements (e.g.
requirements based on the weather
conditions).
3.3. Insofar as the advantages of the
MeineCardPlus are also described
in
other
promotional
material
(accommodation
directories,
prospectuses, catalogues, websites
etc.) outside of the applicable service
specification for the basic version of
the card, only the service description
in the applicable service specification
shall apply to the card holder for
using these services. This particularly
applies in the event the description
provided in the service specification
for the card deviates from other such
service descriptions.
3.4. The service partners may wholly
or partly, and in particular temporally,
restrict the advertised services,
66
providing there are objective grounds
for doing so. This includes in particular
obstructions to service resulting from
weather conditions, official restrictions
or orders, maintenance work and
repairs, traffic safety measures,
excessive use or the overcrowding of
facilities and other similar, objective
reasons.
3.5. RMN as the issuer and the service
companies may exclude card holders
and other authorised users from
using the card, partly or completely,
temporarily or
permanently,
