STABLING
The KY Horse Park offers 10’ x 12’ permanent box wood stalls. Stall fee is $120
for KHJA members and $135 for non-members per stall. Stalls will be available
Thursday, September 10th and they must be vacated at the completion of the
shows, September 13th. Early arrivals and late departures must be cleared through
the show office at a fee of $50 per night.
The KHP requires the purchase of a trailer pass at $25 per trailer per day or $75.00
per season. This fee will be charged to all day shippers, whether showing or not.
A special parking area will be designated and all day shippers must check in at the
office immediately upon arrival at the Horse Park.

ENTRIES
Entries close Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Post entries will be accepted at a late fee
of $10. Entry fees will be considered for processing only when signed by owner,
rider, trainer and coach. They must also be accompanied by check for stabling fees.
STALLS MAY NOT BE RESERVED BY TELEPHONE.
REFUNDS
Entries for classes will be refunded upon presentation of a vet certificate pronouncing
the horse unfit to show. If a horse is deemed unfit to show, the stall fee will be
refunded and that entry will endure a scratch fee of $30.
ADMINISTRATION FEE
The administration fee includes the schooling, medic and office fee. The administration fee is $35 per horse. There will be no add-scratch fees for the show.

COGGINS & HEALTH CERTIFICATES
Proof of negative coggins, within one year, is required of every horse entering the
KY Horse Park. Proof of a vet inspection certificate, within 30 days, for all out of
state horses is required. In-state horses must be accompanied by a KY Certificate of
Veterinary Inspection within 150 days.
SCHOOLING
The rings will be available for schooling from 12 PM to 6 PM on Thursday, September
10th and Friday, September 11th. Schooling fee is included in the administration
fee.
MANAGEMENT & CONDITIONS
Management reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if insufficient
entries warrant. They also reserve the right to refuse any entry or move classes
as deemed fit.
Neither the KY Horse Park, organizers, officials, volunteers or workers of The Fall
Classic will be held responsible for accidents, thefts, or injuries to rider, horse, guest,
spectator, groom or equipment at the show. This will be a condition of entry to the
show grounds.
RIBBONS & TROPHIES
A trophy and eight ribbons will be offered in each class. A Champion with trophy
and Reserve Champion will be offered in each division. The Champion and Reserve
Champion title will be awarded to two of the four horses acquiring the most points
over fences in each Hunter section. In addition to these points, only these four horses
will receive full points for one under saddle class. Prize money will be available in
the Show Office at the conclusion of each exhibitor’s showing.
POLING
Manual poling and use of bamboo offsets are prohibited at all times on the grounds
of the KY Horse Park. In the event of a violation of this regulation, the involved
horse and its trainer of record as indicated on the entry form will be suspended from
further competition.
JUMP ORDER
A rotation jump order will be established, at the management’s discretion, for all
jumping classes. Riders who anticipate a conflict must arrange their order of go with
the gate person.
FARRIER
A farrier will be on call during the show. Contact the show office or call Glenn Dorsett

VETERINARIAN
Hagyard Equine Clinic will be on call during the show. Contact the show office or
call (859) 255-8741.
EMT
An EMT will be on the grounds starting Thursday, September 10th from 12:00pm
to 6:00pm and all day September 11th through the conclusion of the show on the
13th.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE
1. Braiding not required.
2. Horses showing in classes in which they have not previously been entered will
be required to pay a double entry fee for those classes.
3. A processing fee of $50 plus collection fees will be made for any non-negotiable
checks.
4. Non-showing horses will be assessed a fee of $50 in addition to stabling charges
and an administration fee.
5. All horses without a stall will pay a $25 grounds fee.
6. No scratch fee. Enter all classes you might show in.
7. Same day add will be charged $10/class
8. Add at the gate will be charged $20/class
RINGS
The ring sizes are as follows: Stonelea ring 140’X280’ Fine sand and GGT fiber on PVC
mats, Claiborne ring 140’X270’ Fine sand and GGT fiber on PVC mats and Murphy
ring 135’ X 280’ Fine sand and GGT fiber on PVC mats.
ALL HUNTERS
Courses will simulate fences found in the hunting field such as: brush, wall
in-and-out, oxers, post & rails, gate, aiken and panels.
In some classes the area of the courtesy circle may be restricted by a mandatory
line. This line will be indicated on the course diagram and a corresponding barrier
will be erected in the ring.
All classes to be judged on performance and soundness unless otherwise
specified. Championships will be given in all sections.
In all Under Saddle classes, horses will be shown at a walk, trot and canter both
ways of the ring. Judges may ask horses to hand gallop collectively, one way of the
ring. Light contact with the horse’s mouth required. Martingales are not permitted.

3’3” AMATEUR OWNER HUNTER
Open to horses ridden by an amateur owner or an amateur member of the
owner’s family, who is no longer eligible to compete as a Junior. Leased
horses are not eligible and multiple ownership is not permitted unless all of
the owners are members of the same family. To be judged on performance
and soundness, with manners to be emphasized.

KENTUCKY HORSE PARK REGULATIONS
1. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
In compliance with the State of Kentucky Fire Code, the Kentucky Horse Park will
no longer allow any of the following in stalls, barns or tents. Non-complying
equipment may be confiscated.
a) any 2 prong plug appliances (fans, etc.)
b) any 2 prong plug extension cords
c) light duty cords for indoor use
d) any 3-way adaptors unless specifically for outdoor use
e) any adaptors without 3 prong connections
2. MOTORIZED VEHICLES
Only the following vehicles are approved for use on Kentucky Horse Park property: golf carts,
mopeds, JD Gators, Kawaski Mules and similar utility vehicles (NO 4 WHEELERS).
USEF MOTORIZED VEHICLE RULE: Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows
them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to
operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles,
scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors
who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long
as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s),
individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized
vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses, or actions
resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the
parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense.
Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the
competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of
the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance
devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
3. GOLF CARTS
a) Exhibitors wishing to bring their private golf carts onto Kentucky Horse Park property
must purchase a Golf Cart License. This license can be obtained at Dever Show Services
for
$25 per show or $50 for the season.
b) All drivers must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.
c) Golf carts are strictly prohibited in any tourist areas of the park.
d) Golf carts must obey all traffic laws & posted speed limits.
e) Golf carts can be rented through Dever Show Services (859-233-9702 or
www.deverinc.com).

THE KHJA MEDAL
The KHJA Medal is open to junior and amateur members of the KHJA. Finals to be held at the KHJA Fall
Classic in September.
A. MEDAL FINALS AND QUALIFYING CLASSES
To be shown over a course of at least 8 jumps with two changes of direction and any of the following.
1. Combination (ponies set to appropriate distance for height)
2. Roll back
3. Bending line
4. Trot jump
5. Skinny
6. Appropriate testing
USEF tests 1-18 available at www.USEF.org
B. HEIGHT SECTIONS
The following height sections will be offered at the Finals.
1. 3’3”
2. 3’0”
3. 2’6” (riders may not have EVER shown higher than 3’0” in any division)
4. 2’0” (riders may not have EVER shown higher than 2’6” in any division)
5. Adult (2’6 or 3’)
**If any rider, regular or local, has shown 3’6” or higher in any division or discipline, they are only eligible for
3’0” or 3’3”.**
C. ELIGIBILITY
1. Must be a KHJA member prior to showing in qualifying classes for points to count. Non-members may show
in the qualifying classes but points will not count towards the finals.
2. Qualifying period is from August 1 – July 31 of the previous year.
D. QUALIFICATION

A. Accumulate 30 points in age group equitation in the following over fence classes at rated shows.

1. Each height section will show over fences and will be invited back for additional work on the flat. Each phase
of the class will count 50%. No martingales for flat phase. To be judged on equitation. Placing 1-6.
2. The top 2 riders in each section will be invited back for a work off. The work off will be determined by the
judges and can be a shortened course, a question, USEF tests 1-18, or any combination thereof.
3. Ribbons will be awarded through 4th place with the winner receiving a perpetual trophy and cooler.

Round 1: Hunter Course
· 10 jumps minimum
· Fence height 2’, 2’6” and 3’
· There will be two higher option jumps in each course.
· At least one In and Out - At least one Bending Line
· At least one line with an unrelated distance
Round 2: Any rider not scoring a major fault will be invited to Round 2 immediately
following completion of their Round 1 height section.
Must have a stall and be entered in one division to enter the Hunter Derby. Must
compete at the height of division entered.
Restricted to Juniors and Amateurs only.

Courses in the jumper sections may consist of any combination of the following:
brush, gates, oxers, post & rails, liverpool, wall, panels and coop.
Horses that are tied for other than first place will be placed according to their first
round time. A rotating jump order will be established as required. Jumper
championship points will be decided by points won throughout the section.
