AUCTION GUIDELINES
SILENT AUCTION:
The Silent Auction begins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014. Participants will be issued a bid number upon entering the auction. Bidding on all silent auction items will be done electronically via MaestroSoft's Text2Bid system. Bidders will be given instructions upon entering the auction on how to place bids,
either on their phones or on electronic kiosks inside the event. Bidders will be notified during the auction
via texts if they have gotten outbid on items they are bidding on, and at auction close, they will receive notifications which items they have won. Information available via Text2Bid are the item's name, number,
estimated value, opening bid and bid increments. Also available on most items will be a guaranteed price
to "buy it now." Bids may be made by placing an electronic bid. If an item receives a last minute bid near
auction close, it will automatically be held open until bidding ceases. The bidders will have one minute to
respond to being outbid and if they bid, the other bidder will have a minute to respond, keeping the auction open until no bids have been received for over a minute. The silent auction close will be listed in the
front of the catalog under the event schedule. The winning bidder for each item is the bidder whose bid
is the highest at close of auction.
LIVE AUCTION:
The Live Auction will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. and continue until all items are sold. The winning
bidder will be the person making the highest bid accepted by the auctioneer.
PAYMENT:
Full payment is required the night of the auction. All sales are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Winning bidders may pay by cash, check, and Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover,
and Diners Club.
Quick check-out will be available for all patrons who have pre-registered their credit card through the secure quick check process. To register a credit card, patrons may do so on the Hopi Hawktion website at
http://hopi.maestroweb.com or at check-in the night of the event.
GENERAL INFORMATION:
All auction items must be removed at the end of the auction, unless other arrangements are made with the
auction committee. Items can only be claimed by exhibiting a “Paid” receipt. Auction committee members
will issue receipts.
Item values are estimated only and are not guaranteed by Hopi PTA. The portion of the winning bid paid in
the excess of the item’s value is deductible as a charitable contribution. Certain items may move from silent auction to live auction and vice versa the night of the event, including Classroom Creations.
Hopi Elementary PTA and School neither endorse nor make any warranty as to the products or services
purchased at this auction. Any complaint or concern regarding a product or service should be directed to
the merchant or service provider. Certificates are subject to the restrictions printed on them. Taxes, tip,
and beverages are not included in restaurant certificate unless otherwise specified.
Hopi PTA reserves the right to reject a bid from any bidder. In the event of dispute, the Auction Supervisor
has the sole and final discretion to determine the winning bidder or to re-offer and re-sell the item.

BMX for an afternoon to see what it's all about.
This is one of the top tracks in the country and
we'll have it all to ourselves! BMX is now an
Olympic sport. It's a great way to get kids involved in cycling. Parents are welcome to ride
also, whether you raced as a kid or just want to
get out on the track. It's a great family activity open to boys and girls of all ages and skill levels.
All you need is a bike, helmet, long pants and a
long sleeved shirt.
Each rider needs a signed waiver. BMX and
mountain bikes work best, but anything will do.
