Belgium Eén will soon air Loslopend Wild, a new comedy sketch show about women
and the troubles they face in daily life.
Denmark Silas' Opgør (Silas’ Showdown) will see Silas Holst from Dancing with the
Stars help people who are struggling with bullies. TV2.
Finland Tanssii Tähtien Kanssa Dancing With The Stars tops the Finnish chart.
France France 2 has commissioned a local version of the BBC legal series Accused
(Jimmy McGovern). Produced by Troisième Œil.
Germany After 450 shows, popular German radio show Noob Und Nerd will air as an
animated TV series in January 2013.
Hungary The Hungarian version of quiz show The Exit List premiered on Monday 5
November on RTL Klub and has rated well. Dist: Absolutely Independent.
Italy Cielo has commissioned a second series of business reality show The Apprentice.
Netherlands In 2013 Net5 will air new reality game show Sabotage. Ten celebrity
contestants stay in a luxurious villa and compete in different tasks. One contestant is
there to sabotage the tasks.
Norway New series of classic game show De Ukjente (Who’s Who?) airs primetime
Saturday night on NRK1 with an excellent 660,000 viewers and 42% share.
Spain New series of Antena 3 comedy series Fenómenos, based in a radio station,
achieves great success with 4 million viewers and over 20% share.
Sweden TV6 has commissioned a local version of the NRK science entertainment
programme Never Ever Do This At Home. Distributed by DRG.

On Thursday 13 December 2012, Éen will air new sketch show Loslopend Wild at 9.05pm. The
show focuses on women from all generations and the different funny situations they have to
deal with in everyday life.
A new series of comedy drama De Zonen van Van As (Sons of Van As) will air June 2013 on VTM.
All members of the previous series’ cast will appear in the new series and the show will be
directed by Mathias Coppens. In the first series, head of the Van As family Frans must retire
from his demolition business, and his son takes over. In the second series we see some of the
changes he has made.

Vild Med Dans (Dancing With The Stars) star Silas Holst will appear in a new show in spring 2013
on TV2. After five years on Vild Med Dans he will now star in his own eight part series called
Silas' Opgør (Silas’ Showdown) where he helps people who are struggling with bullies. After
experiencing bullying himself, Silas helps six young people gain self-confidence, as he has
through dance, helping them fight back against the bullies.

On Monday 26 November NRJ 12 a second series of the reality show L’Ile des Vérités (Island Of
Truth) gained its best ever figures. The show opened with two back to back episodes gaining an
average 578,000 viewers. The show is produced by 909 Productions.
France 2 has commissioned a local version of the British legal series Accused written by Jimmy
McGovern. (BBC1). The show is produced by Troisième Oeil who have also produced Vous
Trouvez ça Normal? (You Think This Is Right?) for France 2. The show is also set to air in Sweden
(STV), Germany (SKY) and New Zealand (TVNZ).

2012 RTL’s charity programming RTL Spendenmarathon 2012 (Donation Marathon) ran from primetime
to late night, and included a celebrity special Wer wird Millionär? (Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?)
which rated top in all demographics. Ratings peaked at 22:00pm with 7,330,000 viewers in total and a
24.2% share. Within the 14-49 year olds demographic it gained 3,060,000 viewers and a 23.9% share.

The Voice of Germany aired on Sat.1 and rated first amongst the 14-49 year old demographic with
2,120,000 viewers and a 19.4% share and gained 3,290,000 viewers and a 11.6% share in total.

Three popular primetime shows aired in competition with each other.
1. Firstly on RTL Das Supertalent (Germany's Got Talent) gained 4,490,000 viewers and a
14.6% share with 2,220,000 viewers and 19.4% share within the 14-49 year old
demographic.
2. On Pro7, Das Große TV total Turmspringen (The Great TV Total High Diving Contest)
aired with a 16.7% share amongst 14- 49 year olds and 1,620,000 viewers and 2,290,000
viewers and 29.4% share in total. This compares to usual primetime average of 12.4%
beating the slot average by +40% in total viewers and +35% in the target demographic.

3. On ARD/Das Erste Verstehen Sie Spaß? (Candid Camera) also rated well with 4,580,000

Original German crime series Tatort aired on ARD/Das Erste and gained a market share of 31.7% during
primetime viewing as well as 1,211,000 viewers.

RTL2’s docu-soap Die Geissens - Eine schrecklich glamouröse Familie (The Geissens – Glamorously
Married with Children) rated seventh amongst the young demographics. It gained a 11.3% share and
1,440,000 viewers amongst 14- 49 years olds and 2,120,000 viewers and 6.4% share in total.

RTL’s popular daily soap Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten (Good times, Bad times) rated well with
3,450,000 viewers and a 12% share in total and 1,880,000 viewers and 18.7% share amongst 14- 49 year
olds.

A new modelling competition format aired on Sat.1 , Million Dollar Shooting Star. The show, hosted by
Israeli model Bar Refaeli, rated rather poorly with 930,000 viewers and a 3.1 share in total and 580,000
viewers and a 4.8% share amongst 14-49 year olds.

On Thursday 3 January 2013 at 9.00pm, ZDF Neo will air a new science entertainment show.
Each week on Wie werd' ich...? (How Shall I…?), hosts Lutz van der Horst and Christiane Stenger
try to answers questions such as How do I become Clever? and How do I become Slimmer?

On Monday 7 January 2013 at 9.15pm, RTL will launch dating show Jungfrau sucht die grosse
Liebe . The six episode series helps young men and women, who have never had a relationship,
find the right partner. Produced by Imago TV.

Also on Monday 7 January 2013 new docu-soap Die Hohlbeins - Eine total fantastische Familie
(The Holbeins– A Totally Fantastic Family) will air on RTL2 at 10.15pm. The show follows the life
of Wolfgang Holbein and his family, one of the most successful fantasy writers in Germany with
over 40 million books sold. Produced by AV media film & television.

After 450 shows, popular German radio show Noob Und Nerd will air as an animated TV series

On Canale 5 comedy series I Cesaroni gained 4,006,000 viewers and a 15.71% share.
RAI1 aired the final episode of talent show Tale e Quale (Your Face Sounds Familiar) winning the
slot with a 25.38% share and 6,449,000 viewers.
On LA7 popular stand-up comedy Crozza in Wonderland gains a 8.41% share and 2,398,000
viewers.
New episode of scripted factual series Criminal Love about stories of murder and crime within
families and relationships, gained a 4.83% share and 1,304,000 viewers. Since the first show on
19 October 2012 it is averaging a 4.78% share and 1,195,720 viewers.




The second episode of prime time talent show The Winner Is…. (Talpa) on Canale 5 gained a
19.62% share and 4,387,000 viewers.
Leaving A Song To You, RAI1’s young singing talent contest gained a 22.18% share and 4,938,
000 viewers.
Daytime factual entertainment show Teen Manager on RAI2 lost viewers this week with
595,000 viewers and a 3.41% share.




This week a new episode of the scripted series Rebel Earth, New World (Albatross and RAI
Fiction) aired on RAI1 gaining 4,551,000 viewers and a 16.74% share.
On Italia1 a new episode of Archimede aired with a share of 5.03% and 1,120,000 viewers.
On air since 14 October 2012, RAI2’s dance competition Battle Dance has obtained an average
2.88% share and 246,885 viewers. The show airs in the morning.
Monday 26 November


Detective series RIS Rome 3 on Canale 5 drops down the ratings charts gaining a 14.17% share
and 3,828,000 viewers.
The first two episodes of fiction series Thousand and One Nights, Aladdin and Scheherazade
aired on RAI1 and gained a 20.02% share and 5,768,000 viewers.
Tuesday 27 November

On RAI1 a further two episodes of Thousand and One Nights, Aladdin and Scheherazade
improved its ratings with a 21.33% share and 6,112,800 viewers.
Wednesday 28 November

On Canale 5 the final episode of detective series RIS Rome 3 improved its ratings slightly with a
16.98% share and 4,669,000 viewers.


The second episode of the game show Minute To Win It (Shine) aired on RAI2 and gained a
5.95% share and 1,645,000 viewers.
In other news, new stand up comedy show Made In Sud lost viewers down to 6.02% and
527,000.
Thursday 29 November




Scripted series A Step From The Sky aired on RAI1 with a 27.77% share and 7,693,000 viewers.
LA7 political talk show Public Service gains a 12.32% share and 2,865,000 viewers.
The X Factor on SKY1 reached a 3.4% share and 825,612 viewers.
Avanti Un Altro, Canale 5’s daily game show, improves its ratings with an average share of
20.19% and 4,349,658 viewers, whilst the competing show on RAI1, L’Eredità, achieved an
average share of 20.76% and 4,262,582 viewers.
News this week in Italy


Cielo have commissioned a second series of popular business reality show The Apprentice. It is
unknown yet whether the show will air on SKY or the more exclusive channel SKYUNO and will
be distributed by FremantleMedia. The show is due to air next autumn.
On Thursday 13 December the second series of Masterchef Italia will air. The first series aired
on Cielo, however this series will move exclusively to SKY and SKYUNO. It is distributed by Shine
International.

In 2013 Net5 will air a new reality game show called Sabotage. Ten celebrity contestants will
stay in a luxurious villa in Thailand and compete in different tasks. However there is one
contestant who is there to sabotage the tasks given to the celebrities and each time a task goes
wrong the saboteur will win money. Host Erik van der Hoff.











In Spring 2013, Ned 1 will launch a new family entertainment show Rapport Voor Je Ouders
(Report for Your Parents). The Endemol production involves children judging their parents and
grading them based upon their patience, computer skills and dance skills.
In March 2013 SBS6 will air an investigative magazine show Drekwerk which focuses on the
dirtiest and weirdest jobs in The Netherlands. Hosted by Rob Geus.
Celebrity Splash, Dokter Tinus (drama series) and De Lijf Show(health panel show from Talpa)
have all been commissioned for a second series. It is also rumoured that there will be a New
Year edition of Celebrity Splash.
SBS6 have commissioned a new comedy series Scenes From A Marriage for primetime. The
show has already aired in Spain and France.
Two US series will air on SBS6 in 2013, The Following and Elementary.
In 2013, SBS6 will air a new talent show on Friday nights, Bloed Zweet En Tranen. The new
singing competition is likely to compete against the new The X Factor series and the new dance
competition Everybody Dance Now on RTL4. Roxanne and Dre, the children of the late Andre
Hazes will judge Bloed Zweet En Tranen which will search for a down-to-earth Dutch singer.
On Saturday nights on SBS6 a new series of Dancing on Ice will air with a New Year special
kicking off the series. This will be followed by De Grote Vakantieshow (The Big Holiday Show).
All members of the audience are single and compete in order to win a blind date holiday prize.
Produced by Eyeworks, NED1 is preparing a series on Anorexia, following young girls who are
struggling with the disease.
In Spring 2013 a new quiz show will air on RTL4, with Postcode Loterij Mil Joenenjacht’s Linda
De Mol. Rumours suggest the format will be a mixture of the two current quiz shows De Slimste
and The IQ Test.
German legal drama Danni Lowinski will air on SBS6 in 2013. The show has already had success
in Germany and Belgium. The programme revolves around trained hairdresser Danni who has a
change of career by gaining a law qualification and opening her own law firm. Distributed by Red
Arrow International.
Popular crime series Red Widow (ABC Production) aired this week with a second series gaining
808,000 viewers on NED3.

Samen Single, the dating show which airs on NET5 has had good success. The show involves
famous Dutch women discussing their love lives with each other. Based on the Israeli format

The new series of Junior Masterchef and Van Je Vrienden Moet Je Het Hebben have not been
rating well on SBS6. Sketch show Komt Een Vrouw Bij De Doker and The Big Money Drop have
also rated poorly for the channel.
Passie In De Polder and Love In the Wild on RTL5 have both rated quite poorly this month.

A second series of Lost Tribes Go To Town also aired Thursday 29 November on Cuatro. The first
episode gained a 11.2% share and 2,100,000 viewers.
In February 2013 the 14th season of Gran Hermano (Big Brother) will air on Telecinco. The
programme is distributed by Endemol and produced by Zeppelin. After the great success of the
previous series, host Mercedes Mila returns with a new group of contestants,

On Friday 23 November, a new series of travel-based quiz show On The Right Track launched on
STV1. The show gained great success with the first new episode, beating the previous year’s
opening show, with 2,576,000 viewers and a 62% share. The show is distributed by Banijay
International.

On Monday 7 January 2013, TV4 will launch a new version of the popular reality show Farmen

In Spring 2013 TV6 will launch a police comedy series 112 Aina. The eight episode series will
follow the story of a crazy police unit, with Måns Nathanaelsson and Fredrik Hallgren playing the
lead roles.

Swedish channel TV6 has commissioned their own version of the NRK science entertainment
programme Never Ever Do This At Home. The show has also aired in Denmark, Germany and
Canada and involves the hosts testing household items in scientific experiments. Distributed by
