Jeff Markowitz is the author of the
Cassie O’Malley Mysteries, amateur
sleuth mysteries set deep in the
New Jersey Pine Barrens. Jeff holds
a Bachelor’s degree in psychology
from Princeton University and
graduate degrees in special
education and human services. For
more than thirty years, Jeff has worked in the non-profit
sector, developing services that enhance quality of
life. Recently he discovered that he has something of a
flair for killing people. In 2004, Jeff introduced tabloid
reporter and amateur sleuth Cassie O’Malley in Who is
Killing Doah’s Deer? Cassie returned in 2006 in A Minor
Case of Murder.

Ian is a New Jersey-based
cartoonist whose style is a
combination of retro/vintage
with pop culture influences. He
is a member of the Philadelphia
Cartoonist Society and his work
has appeared in the anthologies
Rise of the Outlanders and
Cycle’s End.
