Greyhound has been carrying passengers in Australia for over 110
years. Our services have expanded over the years and we are proud
to be the country’s only national coach company. The Greyhound
network extends beyond our people and our infrastructure; the
relationships that we maintain along the highways that we travel
and in the towns and cities where we stop are a key component in
delivering our services efficiently and effectively.
The traditional long distance coach business carries a diverse range
of passengers. Backpackers and free independent travellers use
the services to move between key tourism destinations. We have
upgraded our fleet and added free WiFi and in seat USB chargers
to enable the passengers to commute to and from work in comfort
and convenience. We continue to be a vital connector for regional
Australia, enabling remote communities to access key infrastructure.
Greyhound also uses the network to deliver freight across the country.
Utilising capacity under the bus and in trailers behind the bus, we
deliver parcels of all shapes and sizes between cities and to regional
Australia. The regularity and reliability of our services has seen us
form a key part in supply chains across the country. If you have used
Australia’s postal service then there is a good chance that we have
carried your goods already.
Our systems and processes enable us to deliver these services safely
and reliably. Managing a fleet that travels 38 million kilometres
annually through remote regions requires 24 hour attention and
strong processes should unexpected issues occur. Our National
Operations Control Centre is staffed 24/7 and acts as a single point
of contact for the business. We run a compliance program that meets
the highest national standards and we manage safety from the top
down. Our experience working in the mining and construction sectors
enables us to deliver client focused safety systems at the highest
standard.

Greyhound has many years of experience in the
mining and resources sector. Working on operating
mines as well as construction projects, we deliver national best
practice in passenger transportation through solutions tailored to our
clients’ needs. For camp to site shuttles as well as longer distance
transfers, our drivers are trained in our range of vehicles and varied
driving conditions. Our services aim to deliver a positive passenger

Safety and quality are top priority at Greyhound. We manage risk and
understand the impact our services have on production and industrial
relations. Our local operations teams are on call continually and
work under a single point of contact. Local management are backed
by head office support functions and by the Greyhound National
Operations Control centre which is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. Greyhound also has the experience and resources to react
quickly to short notice mobilisation requirements.
Measurable efficiency is a core value at Greyhound. Our Client
Services Team produces monthly KPI reports to enable you to monitor
and manage utilisation. We recommend quarterly performance
reviews to ensure that efficiency and safety are always in focus. The
team performs Bussing Optimisation Reviews to identify cost saving
opportunities and will make recommendations for your consideration.
Greyhound operates a commercial and retail freight business
on the back of the Express network. Utilising the under
coach storage space and a fleet of trailers, we form an important part of
Australia’s national freight network. Greyhound regularly services remote
and regional towns as well as connecting mainland cities. We maintain a
network of agents across the country to facilitate the collection and drop
off of goods.
Due to the unique nature and range of our business, our prices are usually
lower than our competitors. This lower
cost combined with a fast and regular service has attracted
a wide variety of customers including Australia Post and other

Group Charter
For groups large and small, Greyhound Charters will
work with you to customise a travel solution. We have
the resources to transport one or one thousand people around town
or across the country. Our clients range from families, schools and
community groups to event organisers, sporting clubs, businesses
and government organisations such as the defence force.
The Greyhound Express network operates across
the country, connecting the general public to cities,
towns and regional centres. Whilst many Australians have used
these services in the past for holidays or to visit friends and relatives,
more and more are using the network to access their place of work or
essential services. Bus travel is safer, often more convenient and will
usually cost you less overall. We take single and group bookings and
can provide accounts for customers with higher volume requirements.
With the introduction of WiFi and USB power on these services, the
passenger experience has been greatly improved.
All buses have seat belts and meet national safety standards. We
will suggest appropriate vehicles for the activity and can assist with
accommodation and activities. We pride ourselves on delivering a
high quality, tailored service and our experienced drivers are trained
to manage the whole journey.
The Greyhound on-line booking system makes booking easy, and our
Call Centre staff can assist with any changes required. The benefit
of the Express services is that you only pay for the seats you require.
Unlike our customised workforce transport, these services operate to
a timetable and may not service every location. Greyhound welcomes
feedback on our Express service timetables and routes. We have the
ability to adapt the services to meet demand.
