Please ask the Exhibition Assistants in the galleries if you would like to borrow a pencil and clipboard, or if you would like to find out more about Josephine Pryde’s artwork. A lot of Josephine’s photos feature hands. How many can you count? Josephine Pryde has made close up photos of cornflour and water mixed together. This mixture feels funny and does some very strange things! Experiment by making your own mixture of cornflour and water at home. Try pouring it, pressing it, picking it up or letting it pool on your hand. Josephine asked a local graffiti artist to create the artwork for the train. There is lots of graffiti art in Bristol. Graffiti is seen by lots of people as it’s out on the streets where people pass it everyday. Decorate this train inspired by graffiti art that you have spotted in Bristol. Photography helps you to see things that you can’t see with just the naked eye. Choose something to look at really closely and draw what you see in the box to the right. Ask an Exhibition Assistant if you need a magnifying glass. Take a ride with your family on Josephine Pryde’s train, what is special about this train? Imagine you could drive this train out of the gallery and go wherever you wanted to. Where would you like to travel to? Fill out this train ticket with your dream destination.
