BRAILA
Brăila is a city in Muntenia, eastern Romania, a port on
the Danube and the capital of Brăila County.
In the historical records, Braila was first mentioned in
the "Book of knowledge", around year 1350. Due to its
settlement, Brăila was attacked, plundered, and set fire
several times over the years, during the wars with the Ottoman
Empire.
During the 19th century, the port became one of the
three most important ports on the Danube in Wallachia.
The city's greatest period of prosperity was at the end
of the 19th century and in the early 20th century, when it was
an important port for most of the merchandise coming in and
going out of Romania.
This is how the city looks nowadays.
Dumbrava Minunata is a place where children find a world of
childhood, where they are helped by the adults to find
answers, to discover new things and to gain trust in
themselves and in the good things.
The best way to understand what are the feelings of the little
ones when they get here for the first time is to look at the
world through their eyes.
The Dwarfs, Snow-White, Cindarella are the characters that
greet and tell you that here you will find a friendly, warm,
affectuos world, full of mysteries, but also common things,
with challenges and barriers that are made to be suppressed
and will finally lead you to the gentle, kind and delicate land
that is the soul of a child.
Dumbrava Minunata kindergarten is a universe that has in
its center his Royal Highness – the Child.
Since it first opened its doors, in 1972, our motto was:
“It’s easy to learn how to walk. Was it really important is to know where
you are headed. We, together with your family, will guide you to succes,
because you represent us.”
Here, with every step you take, you find a world full of surprises: a story
told in lower voice, a pallete of colours waiting for you to bring them to life, a
competition where all the children are the best and answers to any type of
questions…
For the highest quality of the
education, the children, the teachers
and the parents together co-work in
various projects in a local, national
and international level.

Flowers Festival – a local project developed by our kindergarten and the local
authorithies.

in the Public Garden of Braila.
