R E G I O N 11 – Davao Region
Davao Food Trip and Heritage Tour
25-27 November
2016 (Fri-Sun)
A culinary immersion that was first introduced
during the Visit Davao Fun Sale 2015 to HRM and
Tourism students of Davao City. It aims to establish
product knowledge and local culinary appreciation
among the participants. The food trip involves a
local market tour with local fruit tasting, local
delicacy tasting and food preparation presentation.
It also features a Davao homegrown restaurant
during an incentivized lunch.
The food trip’s itinerary commences with a cultural
and heritage at Davao’s iconic edifices namely,
Davao City Hall, San Pedro Cathedral, old parks
and Museo Dabawenyo.
I. Walking Tour at San Pedro St., Davao City
San Pedro St. is one of the oldest streets in Davao
City. The most iconic public buildings and oldest
parks of the city are located here. The City Hall,
City Council Building, and San Pedro Church are
all placed in an almost triangular shape,
surrounded by old parks and other small city
government offices. The walking tour will feature
these iconic parks and buildings for a local culture
and history appreciation.
II. Bankerohan Experience
Bankerohan Public Market is one of the oldest
markets in Davao City. As a “bagsakan” or a
consolidating area for the freshest produce of
farmers in Davao, Bangkerohan vendors offer the
cheapest and freshest fruits and vegetables in the
city. The Bankerohan experience, as part of the
food trip, will involve a visit to these local vendors,
local fruit tasting, and local food preparation and try
out of “kinutil” and “puto-maya”.
III. Restaurant Incentivized Lunch
Claude’s Le Café De Ville is the first and most
popular French cuisine restaurant in Davao City. It
continues to draw patrons because of its
unparalleled food quality and excellent service
befitting a fine dining restaurant. The incentivized
lunch of the food trip features a visit to Claude’s,
where the participants/ tourists will be served with a
complete meal featuring their specialties (steak,
pasta, etc)

NEW WORLD MANILA BAY HOTEL featuring
CHEF DANI GARCIA
APRIL 4 – 5
Dani García: today, always, still.
By Fernando Huidobro.
New World Manila Bay
Hotel
“Today is still always”, wrote Machado. If we were to
transmute this aphoristic quote into a riddle, García’s
answer would be a given: THE KITCHEN. This is what
he does today, now, still and always: cook. As solipsistic
in his work as the poet is in his.

Chef Wars Grand Champions Specialties
Will highlight the winning entries of our Chef Wars Grand Champions last
October 2015, with Calamansi as the main ingredient in the set of menus.
April 1-30
Last 2015, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria joined the Chef Wars for the first
time. The theme highlighted Philippine ingredients. Chef Manuel Abogado,
Chef Christopher John Sanchez and Chef Jude Enierga represented
Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in the competition. Our three chefs practiced
and developed their recipes for a week. Thus, a fruitful result for our three
dedicated chefs as they formulated recipes which worked well with the
main ingredient and which also made them Grand Champions of Chef
Wars 2015. Taste these winning entries of our local chefs from April 1-30,
2016 at Seven Corners.

CRAFTPOINT MENU BEER
All our craft beers are handcrafted with love, care, and creative madness.
Make the most out of every sip by pouring your beer into a glass to best
experience all the aromas and flavors as you drink.
ABV = alcohol by volume
IBU = international bitterness units
Summer Sessions – blonde ale
Bright and easy on the palate, this blonde ale is the perfect introduction to
drinking the wonderful world of craft beer. This is the beer you take with
you to the beach on a hot summer's day. For your inner surf dude.
 Balance of light maltiness and soft floral notes, hints of fruit and
honey, crisp and refreshing.
 Pair with lighter fare: salads, chicken, fish, bread and cheese,
light pasta
 ABV: 4.3%, IBU: 17.2
Summer Passion – passionfruit + ginger blonde ale
The sultry side of Summer Sessions, Summer Passion is even more sunkissed with a tangy passionfruit beginning and warm ginger ending. This
blonde ale has more complexity, dimensions, and layers of flavors to keep
you refreshed for a long time. For your inner surf chick.
 Fruity with a hint of spice, crisp and refreshing.
 Pair with lighter fare: salads, chicken, fish, bread and cheese,
light pasta
 ABV: 5.0%, IBU: 17.2
April 1 – 30
Liberation – revolutionary pale ale
This one's smooth, innovative, and bold: one that will liberate you from the
usual bland beer. You have arrived at the point of no return. For
discerning, thoughtful palates.
 Flavorful, caramel maltiness, toasty/nutty, citrus notes, smooth
bitterness.
 Pair with richer fare: burgers, meats, spicy food
 ABV: 5.5%, IBU: 23.8

Hopnosis – ten hops India Pale Ale (IPA)
This is our interpretation of the classic IPA style enjoyed by hopheads
everywhere. Made with TEN different hop varieties from all over the world,
it's an intense bittersweet symphony. For craft beer drinkers who want to
expand their beer horizons.
 Bouquet of hop flavors from floral and herbal to citrus and
tropical, assertive lingering bitterness, cleans the palate to make
way for another sip. Astonishingly aromatic.
 Pair with spicy and even richer fare: hot pepper dishes, rich
steaks and fatty pork. The clean bitterness of IPAs cuts through
fatty flavors and refreshes your palate as you work your way
through rich or spicy cuisine.
 ABV: 7.0%, IBU: 110
Revolution – Belgian IPA
This is a revolutionary melding of two styles. An unlikely marriage of brash
intensity and elegance, both hoppy bitterness and sophisticated Belgian
complexity. This one’s sneaky: pour it out and it looks nice and light, a pale

yellow color of friendliness. But take a sip and you will be deceived—this
one will knock everything else out of your mind. Prepare yourself for the
most style-bending brew we’ve made. For the sophisticated and calculating
drinker in you.
 Tropical fruit hints, slight peppery spice notes, bitterness, clean
finish.
 Because of its double personality, this is best paired with both
intense and delicate fare: from oil-based pasta and seafood to
spicy, rich, meaty, juicy, fatty—all those nstrong flavors that
Revolution can complement and help you wash it all down
elegantly.
 ABV: 7.5%, IBU: 60
