Established in memory of Arthur Mikayelian, a long-time resident of Rockland County who believed that one should
not only live in a community, but also be an active member of that community. This memorial s cholarship is for a newly entering student who graduated from a Rockland County public school. The student m
ust have maintained an 80 unweighted average and have participated in community service for at least a two-year period during their high school career. Created by former Suffern High School DARE Officer and current Suffern Police Chief, Clarke Osborn, to honor the memory of Kevin Osborn of the Town of Ramapo Police Department. To provide financial assistance to a graduate
of Suffern Senior High School who has demonstrated the potential to be accademically successful at the college level and has a history of community service. Letter of recommendation from High School Guidance Counselor required. This scholarship was funded by the Vincent Crotty Memorial Foundation. Education Credit***
6. Danielle Marie Schweizer Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is given in memory of Danielle Marie Schweizer to give recognition to disabled students for their
efforts in

Established by Dr. Arlene Clinkscale, a former East Ramapo Central School District Teacher and Administrator, to provide support to an underrepresented student from the East Ramapo Central School District who has demonstrated through academic and community service activities, the determination to be a successful student. The Fletcher Scholarship was established in memory of Rockland County resident Milton Fletcher to benefit graduates of Rockland County high schools who wish to pursue a college education. The c ourse of study must be purposeful and have an intended goal that will be socially useful. All applicants must be graduates of a Rockland County high school and residents of Rockland County for at least one year. Applicants must not be recipients of public assistance but must demonstrate financial need as determined by Rockland Community College’s Financial Aid staff. The Fletcher Fund shall provide a full tuition scholarship to attend Rockland Community College for one year.

9. Heinz Ahlmeyer Memorial Scholarship

Selection Authority: Rockland Community College in conjunction with friends of Heinz Ahlmeyer
This scholarship honors the memory of Heinz Ahlmeyer, First Lieutenant United States Marine C
orps, a Pearl River resident and former student at Rockland Community College, for his ultimate sacrifice for our country during the Vietnam War. Heinz was co-captain of the 1963 wrestling team and a m
ember of the soccer team while at Rockland Community College. Applicants must be graduates of Pearl River High School, active participants in athletics and must have been involved in community service. The recipient must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.5.

This scholarship will be awarded to a student from each of the 10 public high schools in Rockland County. Clarkstown North, Clarkstown South, Nanuet, North Rockland, Nyack, Pearl River, Ramapo, Spring Valley, Suffern and Tappan Zee. Student must graduate in the top 10% of their graduating class, and have been accepted to the RCC Sam Draper Mentor/Talented Student Honors program. Student shall receive $500 each semester for two consecutive years providing they maintain a 3.00 GPA each semester. Upon graduation from RCC, each of the ten (10) students shall receive a $500 award to the Bursar at their transfer institution. Education Credit**

Selection Authority: Raisman Family and The M/TS Honors Coordinator
The Isaac Raisman Memorial Scholarship was created by the Raisman Family to honor the life of their beloved son and brother Isaac. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage a high school junior who is seeking new challenges and interested in expanding their horizons beyond the high school experience. The prospective scholarship recipient MUST be an early admit student entering the Sam Draper Mentor/Talented Student Honors Program for Fall 2014.

12. Key Bank Scholarship
Five (5) $1000 Scholarship*
Selection Authority: Rockland Community College Scholarship Committee
Established by Key Bank to provide educational assistance to one high school student from each of the five towns (Clarkstown, Haverstraw, Orangetown, Ramapo and Stony Point) in Rockland County and attending Rockland Community College in the fall. Students must be permanent residents of New York State, have a minimum grade average of 80 (C+/B-), and be in good standing from their local high school and have a history of community involvement. Financial need may be taken into account. Education Credit***
13. Dr. Michael Lippe Memorial Scholarship I
One (1) $550.00 Education credit for books and supplies
Selection Authority: Rockland Community College EMS Faculty
To honor the memory of Dr. Michael Lippe, his 26 year career as an Emergency Physician and his belief that first responders play a pivotal role in saving lives. Must be a new student majoring in Emergency Medical Services.

This scholarship is given in memory of Robert J. Schweizer Jr., a 1996 graduate of Monroe Woodbury Senior High School and a member of their varsity baseball team. This scholarship is for a newly e ntering high school graduate who played varsity baseball. Student must have strong history of community service. Education Credit***

scholarship application is required for all scholarships listed in this booklet. Individual scholarships may require additional applications or documentation

RCC FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT
The Rockland Community College Foundation is a nonprofit charitable institution
that responds to the educational needs and aspirations of the people of
Rockland County by assisting Rockland Community College.
The Foundation provides financial assistance to the College for the continuing
development of its students, staff, faculty and programs of the College.
The Foundation helps the College address several needs that have a significant
educational and community impact that would not be met without private funds.
