die oggendprogram vas te lê, asook ‘n opname tydens ‘n konsert

Die Peuters van Heeltyd Speeltyd Kleuterskool het ook ‘n kans gekry
om op te tree tydens die konsert waar Anthonie Bougas en sy span
‘n televisie-opname gemaak het vir Kleuterzone, die nuwe reeks op
Kruiskyk TV. Hier sing en dans die kleinspan. Van links, Jufr Daniela
Coetzee, Kayli Fourie, Milishka Jewaskiewitz, Carme Naude, Bernard
Cussons, Zack Beetge, Robert Greyling, Kaylem Snyman, Caydon

RUSTENBURG - Mandeville Sports Center in
Bezuidenhout Valley on Saturday 16 November
welcomed the local warriors from Team Mendes
MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) Club in Rustenburg , as
they took part in the international Fight Star 5 MMA
challenge.
A night fuelled with spectacular sights, sound
and screams of enthusiasm and excitement. Having
supporters in and out of their seats, the entire
evening. The local boys did Rustenburg proud with
performances nothing short of super hero status.
Weighing in at 77 kg, battling it out in a
Welterweight bout. Mo Dudia opened the night for
the men from Rustenburg, fighting against Dirk
Smith. In a grand display of heart, and tons of
courage, he took the fight all the way to the end. In
doing so, winning over the support and sentiment of
the crowd, who was found chanting his name; ”Dudhia” midway through the fight and right to the final
bell. The judges made their call and the fight went
against Dudhia, via unanimous decision.
The second fight for Team Mendez showed a pure
cocktail of class, hard work and talent. Breaking
records and expectations. This bantam weight bout
lasted only 15 seconds. Setting up a Fight Star and
Team Mendes MMA club record. Like a scene
from the Avengers, Devon Cronje, tipping the scale
at 61kg. Flew in with a Superman punch, landing
on opponent, Dale Rieb’s face. Shaking him up so
strongly, Cronje rode a take down from Rieb. Setting
up the Guillotine Submission making Rieb tap after
just 15 seconds.
Ettiene Jacobs was the last of the three to the
octagon. With a weight of 89kg, he competed in
the Light heavy weight division. As a stand-up
specialist, he was clearly studied by his opponent
Gareth Sawyer, who started the bout with singular
intent of taking the game to the ground. The wrestle
between the two went deep into round one with
Sawyer closing the match with a Rear Naked Choke
on Jacobs, forcing him into submission.
Team Mendes wishes to thank all there friends,
family and supporters who took the time to travel to
Johannesburg.

Roelof Scheepers in action regularly on the EFC
Africa stage, taking to the screens via DSTV and
SuperSport early in next year.
