NewTaxPreparaVonBusinessOpens
InOntario
On February 12, 2016 the Ontario Chamber of
Commerce welcomed it’s newest business to
the Ontario Business Improvement District
(BID), by helping Lori Furguson cut the grandopening ribbon for her tax preparacon and
planningoffice. Theofficeislocatedintherear
of Furguson’s Hair Care at 2005 Ridge Road,
Suite F, Ontario. The four Furguson siblings,
Lori, Deb, Kathy and Dave, now occupy the
Furgusonbuilding,makingitafamilyaffair.Lori
does tax preparacon; Debora and Kathy are
barbers, and Dave a hairdresser. Birthright of
Ontarioisalsoatenantinthebuilding.
Loristatedshehasdonetaxreturnsfor20years
andhasbeenbuildingherprivatepracccepartcme for the past 10-12 years. She is now
working on a full-cme basis to develop her tax
preparacon business. She has a Masters of
ScienceinTaxacon(MST)andalsoisanEnrolled
Agent (EA). She does all kinds of tax returns
frompersonal,business,andexemptbusiness.

building. These calls can come any cme of the day or night 365 days a year. Holidays are not
exemptfromthesekindsofevents.DiLellasaysthattheCityofRochesterisveryorganizedwhen
theseemergencyeventsoccur.
Demolicon has changed over the years. There has been a lot of progress with the
equipmentavailable.Becauseofgoodequipmentworkisdoneallwinter. Asbestosremovaland
trucking has become a big part of the workload. Empire created it's own asbestos removal
company to make sure jobs are done on cme. The summer months are busier and somecmes
addiconal help is hired as needed. There are currently 15 employees at Empire. “It is very
importantforustohaveasafeenvironmentforouremployees,”statedJulieDiLella.

well over five thousand items stocked in the store. All of the items in this store come from

ThereisevenanopportunitytopurchaseStarbucksitems.
Trafficinthestorehasdevelopedaconsistentparernovertheyears,withSaturday
and the beginning of the week being the busiest cmes. Dollar General offers $5.00 off
couponseveryotherweekandweeklyduringtheendoftheyearholidays.
Zabrina has been with Dollar General for eight years and is happy that there are
opportunicesforadvancementforeveryone,evenuptothecorporatelevel.DollarGeneralis
