40 Years of Grand Achievements
A commanding name in the world of superyachting, Burgess is currently celebrating its
40th anniversary—a culmination of some of
the largest and most significant yacht sales of
modern times.
Burgess’ milestone accomplishments began
in the late ’80s with the sale of the 282-foot
Nabila , the largest brokerage transaction of
its day, and its subsequent resale, under the
name Trump Princess , in 1991. In 2001, Burgess sold the 524.9-foot Platinum, the largest
private motor yacht in existence at the time.
Burgess also managed the build of the 436.3foot Al Mirqab, delivered in 2008, and the sale
of the 288.7-foot sailing yacht Maltese Falcon
in 2009, a world record for sales among sailing yachts.
Other notable sales include the 2012 signing
of the 360.9-foot new-build Project Jubilee, the
largest yacht ever built in Holland. In addition, in
