Expanded operational range: the Unimog U 5000 6x6
The specialist for difficult tasks over tough terrain is here: the Unimog U 5000 6x6. Equipped with a third axle,
which is also driven, it can do everything the U 5000 can, just one size bigger.

The Unimog U 5000 6x6 combines the qualities of the tried and trusted U 5000
4x4 with an even higher payload. As a result of the third axle, it can handle loads
of up to 10 t, making it a real powerhouse in the line of duty. And together with
the various mounted bodies and implements such as a firefighting body with tank,
a mounted crane or a crew cab for transporting people, the Unimog U 5000 6x6
becomes a versatile all-rounder which can be used wherever heavy loads need to
be shouldered.
Due to its torsional flexibility and high traction, the outstanding off-road mobility
of the U 5000 is also the characteristic feature of the 6x6 version. At the same
time, the Unimog U 5000 6x6 achieves a maximum speed of up to 90 km/h on
roads with Euro 5 diesel engines (alternatively Euro 3). To ensure that the stress
and strain on the driver is kept as low as possible, this commercial vehicle also
implements high safety and comfort standards. In addition, its traditionally highquality and long maintenance intervals mean maximum cost-effectiveness for
the customer.
