The 3rd Annual Springfield Black Expo will be hosted in Springfield, Illinois on Saturday, August 27, at the Warehouse, 2548 S. 1st Street from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. “The Expo is Back! Members of Congress, public health experts, community leaders and citizens of Chicago recently convened to address racial and ethnic health disparities in the areas of tobacco, obesity, blood stem cell transplantation, immigrant health, HIV/AIDS and envi- ronmental health. The oneday summit at the University of Illinois at Chicago was sponsored by American Legacy the Foundation, the Coalition to Promote Minority Health (CPMH), Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and a consortium of health plans and associations that includes America's Health Insurance Plans, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Aetna, United Health Group and Wellpoint.
