ACHIEVEMENTS ACADEMICS & ACHIEVEMENTS Winner of 2014 Silver Performance Excellence Award from Partners in Performance Excellence, a Baldrige Enterprise Member. SHS PROFILE Over the last 5 years, 96% of Spackenkill High School (SHS) graduates attended a 2- or 4- year college, continuing a decade-long upward trend. SHS was named a Reward School in 2014 by the New Spirit Day at SHS reflects York State Department of student pride. Education for being one of the state’s highest-performing high schools. Three-year winner of Best Communities for Music Education Award from the NAMM Foundation Three-year winner of Utica National Safety Award (titanium level, the highest distinction) SHS has appeared on the top high school lists for US News and World Report, The Washington Post, and Newsweek. Project Lead the Way curriculum catalyzes a lifelong interest in science at Todd Middle School. Spackenkill graduates are well represented in business, science, SHS students collaborate government, and the arts. Alumni with cutting-edge include Dutchess County legislator technology. Girls soccer has prevailed in several championships. In the 2014-15 school year, 15 out of 18 varsity athletic teams earned the New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s Scholar-Athlete Team designation.
