Lorenzo Silva (Madrid, 1966) is one of the leading and best selling writers of his

couple of detectives are sent to the Canary Islands to elucidate the truth about the
murder of a young man two years earlier on the Island of Gomera for which an
important local government figure had been accused and acquitted. They work
closely with the island's Civil Guards but a second murder takes place that touches
them all closely. The story is complex because of the personal relationships that
become entwined with the murders. We learn more about the two detectives and

Antoni Casas Ros, 35 years old, was born in the south of France, he is a

León Arsenal nació en Madrid y más tarde residió en La Coruña, ciudad donde cursó
estudios en la Escuela Superior de la Marina Civil. Tras navegar varios años,
desempeñó varios oficios en tierra. En el año 2000 publicó su primera novela: El
hombre de la plata (Edhasa, 2000). A partir de ahí siguió publicando en los más
diversos géneros: desde el histórico (que es el que ha cultivado con más asiduidad) al

Lola Beccaria was born in Galicia (El Ferrol, 1963) and lives in Madrid. She works at
the Real Academia de la Lengua Española as a linguist and lexicologist. She has
reviewed books for ABC Cultural and for the now-defunct magazine El Urogallo. She is
a feature writer for various publications. She has written several novels: La debutante
(Alba, 1996); La luna en Jorge (Destino, 2001), a runner-up for the Nadal Prize 2001;
Una mujer desnuda (Anagrama, 2004), translated into various languages, and

ofreció un almuerzo al cineasta español Luis Buñuel con ocasión del paso por el
Festival de Los Angeles de su película “El discreto encanto de la burguesía”, que
cuatro meses después ganaría el Oscar de Hollywood a la Mejor Película en Lengua
No Inglesa..
Al agape asistieron, además del anfitrión, los siguientes directores: Billy Wilder, William

Este último, por su precario estado de salud, tuvo que ausentarse antes de que se

después se tomó nunca una imagen con tantos genios del cine reunidos. A la comida
no pudo asistir Fritz Lang, también por su mala salud, pero Luis Buñuel lo visitó en su

convalescent, Pablo is decorated for his bravery on the battlefield. But he is wracked
by guilt although temporary amnesia prevents him from remembering what exactly
happened. Pablo has to discover what really happened in Iraq and then he´ll must
decide between revealing what actually happened in the attack and its aftermath or go
along with the official version. The writer suggests a story of intrigue on the conscience

literature and who is found dead not long after. He soon falls in love with Esther, who
ends up fleeing to Saint Petersburg leaving him with Iris. This novel of great narrative
strength and beauty is accompanied by a short story entitled La Cuervo which
describes the initiation to love of two youngsters and explores the fascination
generated by the deformity of a girl who always dresses in black because of her
mother’s illness and ends up being nicknamed “the crow”.

Antonio Orejudo was born in Madrid in 1963, and has a doctorate in Spanish
Language and Literature. For seven years he worked as a Spanish literature professor
in different universities throughout the United States and also spent a year as a visiting
professor at the University of Amsterdam. He is currently a professor in the University

Fernando Castanedo studied Spanish Literature and earned his PhD in Literary
Theory in Madrid, where he currently lives. He is the author of the novels Triunfo y

In part two of “Los Incorpóreos”, our young heroine Persephone
plunges into the world of the incorporeal beings led by her beloved Gabriel. At a
meeting of incorporeals in Istanbul, Ulla tells Gabriel he suspects Persephone is the
new Blue Queen, but Gabriel refuses to believe him.
Pers must now embark on the dangerous path that will lead her to discover who she
really is and the nature of her role at this place where her world meets the world of
shadows. She must live among vampires and witches, among beings hitherto unknown
to her. She must fight the dark force of Iskender who is trying to build an army of
“occisi”, the repudiated shadows of Pandemonium, to achieve his terrifying goal: to
destroy the limits that keep the two worlds apart, those of life and death. It is only by
confronting them that Pers will know whether Ulla’s prediction is correct.
