The legislation would have made it a federal crime to perform a sex based abortion. But this bill was defeated! This is a very sad fact in our society. Call 919/753-7309 for more info. 15TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME/ WEEK 34 “Come and See” RCIA The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process of prayer, reflection and study that teaches participants about the Roman Catholic faith possibly leading to full Christian initiation in the Catholic Church. If you have never been baptized, been baptized in another faith tradition or have not received your First Communion and/or Confirmation, then this is the process for you! The candidate should be an active Roman Catholic in good standing and be able to minister with and to people with compassion, sensitivity, empathy, justice and open to diversity. Have knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Highly motivated individual who possesses strong verbal and written communication skills and willing to work in a team work atmosphere with strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement. This part-time position requires afternoons and weekends hours. Mount Carmel is about 20 miles from Nazareth and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea. The Mount is considered a symbol of blessing and beauty for its rich vegetation and beauty. Scripture tells that Elijah, the prophet, prayed to God on this Mount for rain during a drought and God answered his prayers with abundant rain and new life. The clouds that rose from the sea that brought the rain subsequently became a symbol for Mary and eventually developed into the title Star of the Sea.
