Aegina, is known for its rich history, inspiring pistachio grove
landscapes, Aegina Port’s lively fish market and colorful floating fruit
and vegetable marketplace as well as picturesque seaside villages such
as St. Marina with its taverns, traditional shops and beautiful golden
beaches. During our call at one of the ports you may choose to visit
the majestic 5th century BC temple of the Goddess Aphaia which is
regarded as the best preserved ancient temple of Greece offering a
magnificent view of the whole Saronic Gulf. Another possibility is a
visit to the church of St. Nectarios known for its impressive Byzantine
architecture and silver-carved tomb of the Saint.
Poros Town rests in a narrow strait between Poros Island and the
Peloponnese, quietly nestled in the embrace of deep green pine forests
and mildly scented lemon groves. A climb to the town’s magnificent
bell tower offers an unforgettable view.
A favorite of the international Jet-set Hydra is the beloved muse of
painters, craftsmen and photographers. Its unique architecture, crystal
clear waters, splendid craft & jewel shops, folk art and the island’s
traditional means of transport – the donkey, make it one of the last
examples of “living Mediterranean history”.

Egine sera la première île: richesse de l’histoire, beauté du paysage
aux pistachiers réputés, le port au marché aux poissons et le marché
flottant aux fruits et aux légumes, le pittoresque port de plaisance
d’Agia Marina et l’hospitalité des gens. Ici, nous pouvons visiter
l’église byzantine d’Agios Nectarios qui accueille le reliquaire en
argent ciselé et les ossements du saint. Ensuite, nous remonterons au
Vème siècle avant notre ère, au temple dorique d’Aphaia, le temple
grec le mieux préservé du pays, Avec l’imprenable vue sur la mer.
L’étape suivante de notre voyage est l’île verdoyante de Poros avec
ses pins, ses citronniers, les étroites ruelles et son clocher d’où nous
admirerons la splendide vue.
Enfin, l’île des peintres et le rêve des photographes, Hydra ! Une
des îles grecques les plus cosmopolites, la coqueluche du jet-set
international. L’architecture unique, les eaux cristallines, les réputés
bijoux et objets de l’artisanat populaire, les ânes –le seul moyen de
transport autorisé sur l’île – nous rapprochent de l’histoire vivante
de la Méditerranée.

La prima isola, Egina, ricca di storia e di paesaggi straordinari
con i suoi famosi alberi di pistacchi, il porto con il mercato del
pesce e il coloratissimo mercato ortofrutticolo galleggiante, il
pittoresco porticciolo di Aghia Marina e l’ospitalità della sua gente.
Qui possiamo visitare la chiesa bizantina di Aghios Nectarios, che
custodisce l’urna decorata in argento con le reliquie del santo.
Poi, facendo un tuffo nel passato, possiamo trasferirci nel V sec.
a.C. visitando il tempio dorico di Afaia, il meglio conservato tra gli
antichi templi greci, con una magnifica vista sul mare.
La successiva destinazione del nostro viaggio è Poros, un’isola
ricca di vegetazione, ricoperta di pini e di alberi di limoni, con le
sue stradine strette e il campanile dal quale potremo godere una
splendida vista panoramica.
E infine Hydra, l’isola dei pittori e il sogno dei fotografi. Una
delle isole greche più cosmopolite e preferite dal jet-set
internazionale. Architettura unica, acque cristalline, splendida arte
orafa e artigianato folcloristico in un’isola dove gli asinelli – l’unico
mezzo di trasporto consentito – ci avvicinano alla storia viva del
Mediterraneo.
