national qualifier with a weight of 24.06 lbs. The team weighed a 2.25 lb. crappie for the top big
fish of the tournament. The team fished in a Stratos boat with a Johnson motor, Humminbird
electronics and a Minn Kota trolling motor. They caught their fish at 6-7 foot depths while fishing
in 24-54 foot waters. They used Kaylin, AWD and Slider junebug-chartreuse jigs on Wally
Marshall rods. They stated this was the only color they could catch larger fish with.
Willis and Sisson spent most of their time long line trolling on Jordan Lake and caught fish on
day one that had not spawned. On Saturday the fish had spawned and moved making them
move to the mouth of the river to catch fish. The team did some one pole jigging in the
shallower waters, casting jigs on Cypress stumps.
