BJORGAN
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Verna Irene
Bjorgan on Sunday, June 14th, 2015. She was predeceased by her
parents, Garnet and Alberta; in-laws, Harold and Margaret Bjorgan;
son, Anthony; granddaughter, Courtney; and numerous brothers and
sisters, nieces and nephews. Mom leaves behind our dad, Jerry Bjorgan;
children: Dena (Lennard) Morin, Roberta (Donald) Lindsay, Michelle
(Drew) Greenwood, Cory (Angela) Bjorgan and David (Almida)
Corkum; grandchildren: Melissa (Tyler), Robert (Kari), James, David,
Victoria, Tyler, Hailey, Jade, Riley and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren:
Austin, Ayden and Piper; as well as numerous brothers, sisters and
friends. Mom was born in Langenberg, SK on December 28th, 1946.
One of thirteen children, she was raised on the family farm near
Ingleside. She met Jerry at a dance and they were married the following
June in 1970. Mom and Dad moved around a bit but finally made their
home in Moose Jaw where they raised their family. Mom was a fabulous
baker and famous for her cinnamon buns and pies. If she was travelling
to visit family, there was always a request for Auntie’s buns. Mom had
a big heart and her children extended far beyond those she gave birth to. There was always room on the couch or a
spot at the table for someone who needed a place to call home. Mom, you have touched so many lives. You were tired
and it was your time to go home. Now that you are gone, we must carry on without you, but you will always be in our
hearts.
Missing you always, loving you forever. XOXO
In keeping with Verna’s wishes, we will be having a Celebration of Life come and go tea at the Royal Canadian Legion
Hall, 268 High St W, Moose Jaw, SK from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27th 2015. Arrangements are
