large and small. There are dives for all levels, from easy training dives amongst pristine coral to high-voltage drift dives. Diving in
Puerto Galera is a year-round activity to be enjoyed by all. Be aware that all the dive sites are replete with huge numbers of splendid
fish, invertebrates, sponges, crinoids, anemones, hard and soft corals, cuttlefish, rays and from time to time sharks even make an
appearance.
This coastal town is well known among tourists for its numerous pocket beaches and many snorkeling and diving spots. Among

restaurants. Both beaches also have a wide array of first-class accommodations.
The diving offered in Puerto Galera is a combination of shallow coral reefs complete with all the macro life you can dream
of. There are also many reef systems boasting the beautiful soft corals the Pacific has become famous for. The walls of Verde Island are easily accessed by most of the day boat operators to make your trip to Puerto Galera complete. The waters around Puerto

for scuba divers. At present, there are two marine protected areas (no-take zones) around
the island. The only motorized transport you can find are a few tricycles and a couple of
motorcycles. The lack of roads also means that everything on the island has to be brought
