DIRECTOR’S CORNER
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”

I am always so amazed how God provides for us at First Church Preschool. We are one great big family, and
there are always tears as we say goodbye to our graduates and their families. It is also sad whenever we
have to say goodbye to any of our staff.
As the 2014-2015 school year ends, we are saying goodbye to four amazing teachers. After eighteen years,
Pam Graham is retiring. She plans to enjoy her family, especially the two new grandchildren who are
scheduled to arrive in September. Lori Padgett and Jane Jimenez have decided they want to spend more time
with their own busy families next year. Tracy Robbins has completed her degree in elementary education
and she is leaving to pursue a position in the Broward School system.
While we will miss these four outstanding teachers very much, we know that God has great plans for them.
He has also opened new doors for us. Some of our teachers are excited about taking on new roles next year,
and two new teachers, Kristin Budd and Amanda Fatigate, are joining our team. While Kristin and Amanda
are new to our staff, they are familiar faces around here. Both have substituted frequently at First Church
Preschool and Amanda is also very active with the Children’s Ministry at First Church.

5D3’s (9-1:30, mixed schedules) - Lead: Eileen Krugman, Assistant: Jennifer Castillo
5D4’s (9-12) – Lead: Lisa Afflerback, Assistant: David Carroll
5D4’s (9-12) – Lead: Brenda Arata, Assistant: Dawn Zeschke
5D4’s (9-12) – Lead: Cindi Bernasconi, Assistant: Bonnie Callahan
3D4’s (8:30-1:30 TThF) – Lead: Mercedes Dyshuk, Assistant: Marilyn Dunleavy

Fundraising Update...
We are so blessed with all of the support that our families
have provided this school year. We are excited to announce
the totals from our current fundraisers. We have raised
$750 on Gifts from the Heart and $600 on Picture Sales. It
could not have been done without the hard work of our
teachers, volunteers and families.

VBS Dates: June 8th-12th, 9am-12:15 each day
Children Eligible: Children age 4 on or before
September 1, 2015 (entering VPK) through those
completing 5th grade.
Registration: Online registration begins on April 15th
and ends on May 22nd or when spaces are full.
Enrollment Fee: $35 per child/$80 max per household
Payment Information: Online payments can be made
on our website www.firstchurchcoralsprings.org
Cash or check payments will also be accepted in the
church office.
T-Shirts: T-Shirts are included in the registration fee
and will be given out Sunday, 5/31, Sunday 6/7, and
on the first day of VBS.
